Actually I never got to meet Marco, but he was kind enough to arrange for me to be picked up by his brother - I am so embarrassed to say that because I have met so many wonderful people here in Italy.......I can't recall everyones name ! But for sure I remember him and he was a great guy. He took me through a quick tour en route to the property, interesting to talk to. I also met with my contact person, Francesca (and Gabriella) at the cafe bar I believe they owned. Two more wonderful people! (btw, Italy is filled with so many truly nice people) The place was neat and clean, and it was as depicted in the photos. The only issue I had was with the heat and hot water and when I reported it to Francesca twice, someone responded immediately. Unfortunately, there was a problem they couldn't resolve right away and Marco allowed me to terminate so I could move to another place. He did it immediately, without any hassle. The town is beautiful and because of its size - 190 people? - it's a very unique place and it's very beautiful. Every person I got to meet was friendly.

Sant'Eufemia is a great location in the beautiful Majella national park. A pretty town with access to many stunning walks in the mountains and gorges. The house is well equipped and right in the centre of town by the main square, and the beds are comfortable. Marco has a great arrangement with a local bar so that you can pick up and return the keys but also get a nice breakfast thrown in. We didn't meet him but was very helpful and communicative. If you are a light sleeper then you might want to bring earplugs because it is right by the town's church whose bells ring frequently. But not a big deal and we would really recommend this place. Thanks Marco!

The apartment was small and cosy, we had very cold weather so made use of the wood fireplace! We didn't meet Marco but he was available by phone when we had questions and was always helpful. Keys were picked up from a bar in town. Kitchen quite basic but functional. Nice for a short stay.

The apartment was located right in the centre of the town and the little cafe was only a 5 minute walk away. Everything worked well and there was loads of space in the kitchen for cooking and eating. The only thing that maybe wasn't up to scratch was that the apartment was quite dusty upstairs on the surfaces where we should have been able to put out clothes etc., but apart from that it was super. Marco was very helpful with organising the keys on our arrival and also giving us information about the area.

The apartment was great. It was homey and large. Its in a great little small town with a few unique shops and very close to the mountains and trails. Can't beat the views in the area.

Our stay was fabulously relaxing, we loved the location, and the surroundings are simply breathtaking. Sant'Eufemia is a picturesque, welcoming village in the Majella Park and it's the perfect spot from where to start touring the region. The Lama Bianca reserve (only a few km away) offers many accessible pathways with beautiful views; the San Leonardo Pass is also easy to reach. Marco was very friendly and provided detailed information on the house and the area - although we didn't meet him, everything went smoothly.
