Very nice location and balcony, the studio was easy to live in. Only problem was only 1 device could connect to the internet at a time.
Bernadette was lovely and helpful. Would be very nice to go back.
We called on a pay phone from the train station to tell Bernadette there was a train delay, and she told us it would be impossible to meet us later that evening. We worried that we would have nowhere to sleep that night, very unnerving. Yet she decided to meet us later after all. Despite the rocky start, we enjoyed our stay at Bernadette's cute, well-furnished apartment. The location in the old city center is excellent, if noisy, and one of the joys of our trip was waking up on Sunday morning to go the big farmer's market nearby and then coming home to make brunch. The internet worked.
Great location, very central to Aix. I stayed here with my mum, Bernadette was very easy to communicate with, although I never met her. The apartment was very modern and clean with a great shower and most of the utensils you need (no kettle however). The only minuses were the bed was a fold out couch; it had obviously been used quite a bit because with two people we were both sinking into the middle, so not the best sleep. Also, the tv did not have any satellite connection so was not working and no internet was a slight inconvenience. Also, at the end of our stay Bernadette requested we leave 20 euros for a cleaning fee that we were not expecting. I contacted AirBnB about this and they told me all additional costs should be included in the total fee, Bernadette had this as separate and therefore I was a little un happy with having to pay extra money that we were not aware of.
What a beautiful apartment in the heart of Aix. We had everything we needed in a picture-perfect setting. The apartment was well set-up and very comfortable. Bernadette met us in Aix-en-Provence and walked with us to the apartment. And very kindly, she drove us to the airport at the end of our stay. This was well and truly beyond our expectations. We loved Aix and would highly recommend Bernadette as host and this apartment as a base for a stay in Provence.
What a wonderful studio! Everything is clean and tasteful. The location was ideal as well. I would definitely stay there again. The only thing was that the wifi wasn't working... But other than that, it was perfect.
I had a lovely two night stay at Bernadette's apartment. Bernadette was very welcoming and her apartment was clean and cozy.
We loved this quaint little apartment! There was a beautiful view and the sun would always shine in through the windows. The pull out bed is really comfy and Bernadette is so nice and helpful. The location is great as well for a good price.
L'appartement était très agréable, et dans un bon emplacement. Bernadeete était sympathique et serviable.
This is a very nice studio in a great location. Many places in the old part of Aix can be very noisy at night, but this is not. Bernadette was very friendly and responsive, however she does not speak English too well, so if your French is not good, communication may be a bit difficult. Also, there is no wifi in the apartment, which was disappointing. You can however connect to the SFR wifi network from the apartment, and pay for internet access.
The Studio is a perfect location for seeing all in Aix-en-Provence. Bernadette is a lovely hostess and went out of her way to assist us in finding parking and making suggestions for places to eat and see. No WiFi was disappointing but we learned to live without. We heartily recommend this studio for anyone wanting to experience Aix.
Brent and jane
This was a very nice stay, booked on-the-fly from Chinque Terra in Italy. A little hard to find initially, but only because of the serpentine (to 21st century minds and eyes) configuration of Aix. Very well located, close to neighborhood bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Bernadette was very responsive, helpful, and accommodating, although it would have helped if we (mono-lingual Americans) had been able to speak more French.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
