his cabin was transformed in 2011 into a state-of-the-art get away situated in the heart of Guerneville, just and hour and a half North of San Francisco.
The first floor offers a “short ceiling” bedroom with room for most it also has it’s own private bathroom and walk out onto the main deck. The main deck has a fire pit and Adirondack chairs for those warm evenings along with a grill/smoker for BBQ.

The living area is luxuriously appointed with a four person couch, leather club chair. The kitchen area offers all new appliances including dishwasher to make your stay more enjoyable. There are two bedrooms with generous under-bed storage compartments and cooling from ceiling fans.
There are three additional decks, all completely private above street level. The mid-tier deck has an six person hot-tub, surrounded by redwood trees. Great time at the place. Really enjoyed the outdoor space. I recommend not exceeding 6 guests as it would be a bit tight.
I had a great week at Mike's cabin with my girlfriends (5 of us total). Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and both bathrooms were well appointed. Plenty of towels and clean linens included. Dishwasher and washing machine seconded only to glorious hot tub. After searching airbnb, this was one of the best deals for a place with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in the area. The location is great, very convenient to Guerneville, local wineries, and the coast.
Overall, great experience, and I would definitely stay here again.
Small things to note: there is no interior dinning area beyond a 2 seater table, so plan on eating group meals outside or in the living room. There is also no closet space in the bedrooms, so pack efficiently. The firepit uses special composite logs that are probably easy to use for most people, but that we found particularly challenging to actually start on fire. The driveway accommodates 2 cars maximum, but there is additional parking down the street 1 block away.
We had a wonderful time here. The place is a wonderful getaway, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. The living area and kitchen are a tad small for a place that sleeps 6 people. We had a difficult time cooking for 6 with the small and limited cookware in the kitchen, but we made it work. Everything else was wonderful; we made due with the cookware and had a great time.
This place is awesome. Even in a storm, we had a great weekend. The house was clean and well-insulated (we had two babies with us), as well as super central to downtown Guerneville. Mike was easy to reach when we had questions, too. A great place for 2-3 couples to spend a weekend of wine tasting and Redwood hiking. We'll be back!
I stayed in this adorable house with 7 other friends for my birthday weekend. We had an amazing time. We enjoyed the hot tub with color-changing lights, well-stocked kitchen, proximity to the river, and endless supply of towels. The bedrooms were really cute and everything seemed new. Mike was easy to work with and checking in and out of the cabin was simple. The only minor drawback was the limited parking.
The reservation was canceled 23 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Overall, we had a great time. The cabin was very relaxing and homey. The multiple decks were amazing—you can choose between gathering around the fire, hot-tubbing, eating a meal around the picnic table with the woods backdrop. There was a hiccup in the cleaning schedule but Mike and Elizabeth were very accommodating in remedying the issue. I would stay here again.
