About Us
We are 2 brothers who live in different continents growing up (US and Australia), and we decided to move to Bali together in late 2012. Right now, we decide to see a bit of the world together, so while we are traipsing the world, we are renting out our house in Bali. As the adage goes, a friend in need is a friend indeed, and we count ourselves blessed and lucky to have our friend, Sarah, who would be helping us checking-in/out guests while we are not in Bali. Sarah speaks Indonesian, English, and Italian!

Any information left out or something else you would like to know about? Please feel free to ask and we'll happily get back to you as soon as we can!

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Great place with private pool. Walking distance to beach and many shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay here.

  • Brilliant location!! Just a very short walk to Bintang Supermarket down a little laneway/road. Villa is being renovated after we checked out to do some improvements but overall we loved our stay here. We didn't actually spend too much time here but the time we were there was great.
Check-in was a bit of a challenge as there was a ceremony on where they blocked the little road from the main road. Apparently we were lucky enough to be checking in on the first day of the only 2 times the temple has celebrations during the year, haha.
Our driver was awesome and found his way through the back laneways to get us to the villa. Sarah was absolutely lovely and responded quickly to fix the wifi (router just needed resetting) and on the last day the water stopped working, but the housekeeper fixed that super quick also (again just needed resetting).
There is no night security, but the gate was locked with a padlock from the inside and we always felt safe in the location we were in. It is a little dark walking at night back from main road but never felt like we were not safe walking down there.
Both bathrooms are on the lower floor, and the stairs are quite steep heading up to top room - but I think these are being fixed in the renovation.
They provide big bottle of water with dispenser so can just refill your empty bottles.
Hendro was very attentive to my emails and all queries I had before booking with airbnb as there were some bad reviews about airbnb as a booking company, but he alleviated my doubts and I am so glad that I put my trust in him.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again when we come back to Bali.
Thanks to Hendro, Wanto and Sarah - you guys are awesome!!

  • Wijaya Villa is one of the best places I have ever stayed. It’s clean, comfortable, safe, quiet and close to all -- Bintang supermarket, restaurants and even to Seminyak beach. Hendro and his brother Wanto are very friendly hosts who are ready to accommodate the needs of their guests while their house supervisor Sarah with her staff made us feel at home. Sarah welcomed us with a broad smile and explained everything we should know while staying in their Seminyak Villa of Kuta. She arranged for us sightseeing tours with Jimmy who has a wide range of knowledge about Kuta and beyond. Bali is very beautiful. My two nieces and I regret for not being able to stay there for long. People are very friendly, it has rich culture, beaches are pretty and above all things are relatively cheap. I will come again to Bali and for sure will stay at Wijaya Villa. Thanks Hendro, Wanto, Sarah and Jimmy!

  • Had a great 4 nights in Hendro's Villa, Its near to Bintang Supermarket, 3 mins walk, Cafe Seminyak with good breakfast, Mades Warung, a slow 10 mins walk which serve delicious Indonesian food. We like to thanks Sarah for her warm hospitality and their helper who folded our laundry for us while we were out exploring Bali. 4 nights of chilling out by the pool with the family would says its awesome.
Prompt reply from Hendro and Wanto when in doubt, you guys are great. Sarah was at the villa expecting to meet us but too bad Sarah we are out whole day, well we manage to chill with her on our last night and had great travelling places exchange...
Last but not least their Address 5 Villa Lalu --Haha Sarah you noe why rite..Thanks to our wonderful Host...2 thumbs Up.

  • I recently stayed in this Villa with four other friends, and it was absolutely fantastic. The location was great, but still far enough away from the main road that we weren't listening to traffic. The villa itself was perfect for what we were after - somewhere to relax after a busy day/night out. Sarah was great in helping us with anything we needed. The team there working with Hendro was great and made our experience that much better. I recommend this, as a place to stay to anyone - and hope to be back myself someday!

  • We enjoyed our stay at the villa in so far as it was close to the shops and eateries. The amenities at the villa were fine save for a noisy air conditioner in one of the rooms which Hendro promptly fixed as soon as it was brought to his attention.

Sarah and Jimmy were extremely helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

One comment, the pool was a dip pool and not a lap pool but because it rained a fair bit, there was no need to use the pool.

  • We had a great stay at Hendro's place in Bali. The house is exactly as seen in the photos. And similar to other guests, we were well taken care of by Sara, who responded very quickly. Our 3 kids had a great time in the pool (hope we didn't disturb the neighborhood too much).
Pros - responsive to queries prior to the stay; great hosting during the stay; great location (access to amenities is exactly as Hendro's description); yet secluded and safe; daily cleaning; great recommendations to food places (we had a very wonderful lunch at the Japanese restaurant - Ryoshi - thanks!)
Cons - there was no bathroom on 2nd level (but this may be typical of villas in Bali); minor works needed (and will enhance the place further).
    Overall a fantastic place.

  • The villa was fantastic, spacious, quiet and very comfortable. The view overlooking the temple very beautiful. The location terrific. The staff were friendly and eager to please. Sarah, who hosted us, was there whenever you needed her. Thankyou Hendro

  • We had a great stay at Hendro's villa. Hendro, Wanto and Sarah are a great team and followed through with all the important details including answering questions, arranging airport transport and a day trip to Ubud. Sarah even helped me translate at a shop one day, helping me purchase a piece of art. Healthy, yummy food is important to our crew. Can I recommend Zula's Vegetarian restaurant, which is very close. From the villa, turn right at the main busy street, then take the first left that you can, towards the beach. It's on the left. Sooooo good. Fresh squeezed juices, salads, wraps!

  • I have no much to say because most of the time we were out busy with our outings and activities. Well, the villa is welly maintained and very quiet. Great location yet the price is affordable.
In fact, my daughter and son in law recommended their friends who will be visiting Bali pretty soon.
Sarah is indeed very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much.
