Just off the N56, down a leafy lane, this traditional, single-storey, detached holiday cottage lies in an idyllic setting. Retaining its ‘olde worlde’ character, it lies in an ideal location for walkers, as the cottage is on the renowned Bluestack Way and for the keen fisherman, the property is about 450 yards from the Owenea river. It is conveniently located between the market town of Glenties, 2.5 miles and the heritage town of Ardara, 4.5 miles. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch the handweavers of Ardara producing the tweed for which Donegal is famous. This is also a popular area for its beautiful beaches. Visit the golden beaches and caves of Maghera and the fabulous white beaches of Narin And Portnoo. Shop, pub and restaurant 2.5 miles.

Spent a week in this really lovely remote cottage. Wood burning stove, with a shed full of timber which was very generous. No Tv or wi-fi so easy to properly unwind without these brainless distractions!
Excellent kitchen facilities, no washing machine, which personally wasn't a problem but might be if you have kids or staying longer.
Closeby is Ardara, a quaint village with some good pubs. Sadly we were out of season for the food in the famous Nancys bar. Very friendly and helpful locals, felt like a very safe part of the world.
This cottage is located off the N56 so everywhere is easily accessed.
Barry was a great host! Highly recommend this cottage
Great cottage, very comfortable and cosy. Lots of character and some great books on local area to read.
The cottage was lovely, and the perfect home base for my family in Co. Donegal. Barry is a terrific host, great with communication, and had a local caretaker nearby in case anything arose. We were welcomed to fridge staples and lovely scones. The kitchen is brand new, and was really convenient for when we wanted to eat at home. The house feels remote, tucked away into a lovely private area, but it's close to the town of Ardara as well as many local beaches and attractions. Thanks for the great stay!
