Anna's place was very comfortable apartment with beautiful view of the lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountains. The closest town, Arona, only 10 min driving had eveything you needed. We also enjoyed drivibg around the lake and taking a trip on the lake with a rental boat. Anna and her son Alberto were nice people. We consider going back in future

Exclusive! An apartment in a real villa. Clean, quiet, safe, with a perfect panoramic view. We had our breakfasts on a terrace looking at the lake. Kitchen utensils, towels, maps, - all is taken care of by the hosts. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommended.

We were very excited to go because on the paper the apartment looked great. In reality this is different. The furniture are very old and the bed unconfortable. The domain around the apartment is nice and the view very beautiful as described. The staff was nice with us and the welcome very warm. I am sorry to say that we will not go again unless this is refurnished.

Response from Anna:
Dear Thibaut, as described in the announce, the apartment is located in an ancient Belle Epoque Villa, provided with classic and ancient furnitures, as required by the elegant and ancient context all around. Some of those important pieces you can find in the apartment are collection pieces as, only by way of example, the ancient mirror and the tapestry in the living room. The apartment is not intended to be a modern apartment provided with IKEA furnitures. No other guests have ever complained or remark on the quality of the bed (and not even on cleanness of the apartment), as you can see in the previous comments and I would say the comfort of the bed is a really subjective element. The Villa has a great value, also considering the building and the immense park all around. Of course Meina is a small, ancient village: I would say it is not the right place if you are searching for modernity, as described in the announce. It is a place to relax and enjoy the quietness. An absolutely gorgeous apartment in an historic building with fabulous views. Communicating with Anna was easy. We were met by her mother, who graciously showed us through the apartment, and what to do when we left. Sitting on the terrace in the morning for breakfast or in the evening with drinks, we felt like aristocracy! Please be aware that there is no wifi available for this location. The apartment is just as beautiful as pictured, and furnished to a high standard with everything we would want in the kitchen. We looked up the location on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) street view ahead of our visit, so didn't have any trouble finding it. Restaurants in Meina are somewhat limited, or perhaps we just didn't know where to find them, with most located towards the north end of town on the lakeside road. I'm sure Anna would be glad to help if you ask her!

The flat is very peaceful, as it overlooks the inner courtyard. Everywhere you notice old furniture, carpets and prints, crystal chandeliers and a beautiful parquet. In spite of this people enjoy a pleasant friendly atmosphere due to the pastel colours of the walls and some modern pieces of furniture.
A study area enriches the large double room with a TV set and the separated niche offers 2 extra beds. The dining room includes a kitchenette and a sofa bed. They also will appreciate the elegant bathroom with its marble floor.
