El Sol was perfect for us! It was secluded, away from all the noise, but still close enough to town for all the things you might need. There are neighbors but not close enough to feel like y'all don't have your own space. Amenities are nice and exactly as Melissa describes! We used almost everything, and had a peaceful experience... We also brought our dog, Tucker! It was last minute and Melissa graciously accommodated the changes in our (email hidden)d Tucker had a blast exploring! Everything we did in town or in Woodcreek and Driftwood was 10-15 min away so location was absolutely perfect! We had such a relaxing weekend, we will definitely come back to El Sol! Thanks again Melissa!
My husband and I had a great experience at El Sol!! The photos don't do the cabin justice. It is so lovely, and had everything we needed to make the most of our trip. We made good use of the grill and well stocked kitchen to cook up meals that we enjoyed while looking out onto the beautiful hill country views. The grounds are stunning.... Very scenic and quiet. You feel as though you are miles away from everything, but you are only a short 5-10 minute trip from town. It really is the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone!
We had a wonderful weekend! Mother Nature had her way our first night there but Melissa did what she could to make out stay special and made us feel important and valued as guests in her cabin. Wimberly is beautiful and this cabin is in a prime spot with breathtaking views. The second night, we took advantage of the hot tub, grill, and the outdoor dining area...it was a perfect evening. Our last morning was spend having coffee on the patio and then just relaxing in the hammock. I will definitely return when we come back to Wimberly. Top notch cabin and host!!!
I stayed at the El Sol Cabin with my girlfriend and it was everything we hoped for and more. It was very clean and came with everything you could possibly need for your stay.
There was a small issue with the running water when we first got there but Melissa was super accessible and was at the cabin within 5 minutes with a quick easy fix! This was all around 11 pm too so it was greatly appreciated!
We would definitely recommend this place to anyone and look forward to staying here again!
The cabin is a really comfortable hillside retreat away from everything and as close to you need to be to people, town, activities, services, etc. It's charming and rustic (with a great shower), roomy for the two of us. The high ceilings and many windows make the cabin feel larger than it (website hidden) logistics: very clear instructions, easy to find, immediately felt at home. I'd welcome any reason to go back!
Especially liked sitting on the porch watching the hawks swoop and glide.
We could not have asked for a more welcoming, beautiful, serene and romantic 'home away from home' to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Melissa thought of every little thing we may need including some sweet surprises, like chocolate covered strawberries (yum) and a vase of freshly picked wild flowers waiting our arrival. Excellent directions to find Buffalo Bend (I was sold on the name alone!) and once in the cabin, found all instructions necessary if we chose to use any of the gadgets (wifi/tv etc.); as well as maps, restaurant guides and local sights of interest. The cabin was clean and well organized. "Rustic charm with 5 star sensibility!" We were incredibly impressed with the thought that has gone into land stewardship and water conservation. The rain-harvesting system and UV filtration is noteworthy. (I wish I could wash my hair in filtered rain water all the time - amazing!) This cabin is fabulous inside and out.. we teased that Melissa had the wild life trained to make appearances at all the rights times.. sauntering grey fox at twilight, a fleeting wild boar at dusk, a small herd of deer at sunrise. The sunsets and/or rainstorms were spectacular while enjoying a hot tub .. we also enjoyed taking early morning walks in the woods. The cabin location felt very secluded but was less than 10 minutes from the heart of Wimberley. Loved the town! Lovely, welcoming people and funky, artistic shops. We took in a few lovely cafe's, enjoyed walks along Cypress Creek (wow) and took in the arts festival at Blue Hole and attended the Old Settlers Music Festival just 20 minutes away in Driftwood. All within very easy travel distance to and fro.. Lots to see and do in the area. Though I can tell you - once you drive up to El Sol, you'll probably not want to leave!
My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful time staying at this cozy cabin! The cabin was exactly as pictured, comfortable and clean. The hot tub was perfect for a slightly chillier than normal Texas spring weekend. Melissa has done a fabulous job making this cabin a wonderful relaxing retreat.
