Byamshire is located a stone's throw away from Grenada's nine hole golf course and is perched atop a hill in a valley over looking a marina inhabited by several species of birds and other wildlife.
The gardens attract hummingbirds which keep coming back to be fed. We are a ten minute drive [ 8 miles ] fom the airport and city centre and a walk away from the famous Grand Anse beach.
My husband and I are the perfect hosts...he will keep you well entertained and I will keep you well fed if needs be. An ideal spot for laid back retirees.
The room offers two twin beds and is cooled by tropical breezes or, if necessary, ceiling fans.
A covered verandah allows you to enjoy the scenery and the view and, if you feel like it, a snooze in the hammock while being wafted by the breezes. There is also an uncovered deck where you could get ample doses of vitamin D.
Public buses stop at the main road that can be reached in 12 minutes walk.

A true home away from home! Fantastic choice for anyone wanting to feel the warmth of Grenada! Loved it.
This was my first AirBnB experience and it was truly a great one. Mrs. Judith and her husband Tim were the best hosts that a person could ask for. I couldn't have asked for a more authentic and better experience. Judith was very nice and resourceful. Her breakfast was amazing and the home was beautiful. Every morning I would rest on the porch for an hour or so and just look at the beautiful scenery while relaxing in their hammock. The many tree's and flowers were so enjoyable. The home was only an 8 minute taxi ride to town (Food Fair, Spice Market), 5 minutes from a beach port and 15 minutes from St. Georges University Campus. My mother and sister stayed here as well and enjoyed Mrs. Judith's company very much. Mr. Tim gave so much history and knowledge about Grenada and the islands and it really made me appreciate the trip even more. I would recommend staying here without a doubt. Great neighborhood in the Grand Anse Golf Course. I will make sure I stay here again when I come back to visit. Thanks for making this such an enjoyable experience for my family and I.
Judith and Time are two of the best hosts I've ever stayed with. They went above and beyond in so many ways during my stay and made me feel at home in their home. They are kind, laid back people, with a great sense of humor - we shared many laughs. Whenever they were able to assist me, they did. If you need any advice about Grenada, ask Judith - she never let me down! I also enjoyed hearing Tim's interesting stories and historical information about Grenada. I was traveling solo, so I appreciated that Tim or Judith was often around when I returned from my day, to hear about my adventures. They have a small, sweet dog named Princess, who is gentle and welcomes affection.
Judith and Time have a beautiful home near the golf course, in a quiet neighborhood. At night the only sounds I heard were birds and insects (and sometimes frogs, after it rained). In the morning I awoke to birds chirping. Every day I saw hummingbirds outside my bedroom window. The view from their home is stunning.
I would definitely stay here again.
Judith and Tim are wonderful guests. Our experience in Grenada was great and our hosts made it spectacular. The house is very spacious and nicely decorated. The garden is so inviting, and offers a beautiful view from the large deck. Flowers, hummingbirds, and even occasional butterflies can be enjoyed. My only regret was that we didn't have time to stay one day "at home", just enjoying the breeze on the hammock. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable, with a nice breeze. Even when it rained, it felt good. Judith offers a very tasty breakfast and superb juices. We loved chatting with Judith and Tim, they are very involved in the community, helping to keep Grenada's character and history alive. They gave us great advice about places to visit and also helped us rent the car. Everybody in Grenada is very helpful. It was an outstanding experience and I hope I can repeat it soon. Judith, Tim, may God bless you and your family, you are an inspiration.
We spent two wonderful weeks in St. Georges Grenada with two wonderful people, our hosts Judith and Tim. From the initial welcome to the moment of our departure, we were entering and leaving a “home away from home.” Their home is a Caribbean beauty with pumpkin and watermelon-colored walls, beautiful verandas, and a most welcoming kitchen with a window seat that looks over the beautiful, lush foliage surrounding the home. Our bedroom was very comfortable and each morning we awoke to a wonderful, tasty breakfast that hails back to times when families enjoyed a good healthy breakfast to start one’s day. With fresh fruit and juices from their orchard and farm fresh eggs, veggies, local delicacies, we started our days ready to enjoy all that Grand Anse, St. Georges had to offer.
After eating and communing a while with Judith (and sometimes Tim), we discussed our plans for the day and headed out. On the way to the main road we were greeted by the friendly neighbors, always with a smile and a warm hello. The public mini-buses on the main road came very frequently and we could head in any direction for an exploration of the island.
We left our Grenadian “home” with special memories of our hosts, their wonderful, welcoming neighbors, a great neighborhood restaurant (Flavors), and a community that seems to welcome everyone warmly. It was an experience that would be hard to beat and we have Judith and Tim and Byamshire to thank! Wait, we better not forget Princess, the happiest little dog on the planet! We all know the joy of a welcoming family pet at the door and Princess was there with a joyous yelp and a smile each time we returned “Home” from our excursions. Thanks Judith, Tim and Princess for a wonderful two week stay in your home. It was superb!
Our stay at Judith and Tim's beautiful home was second to none! Judith went above and beyond by picking us up from the port, where our sailing adventure concluded, and even drove us into town since taxis were hard to come by in their neighborhood (a bit off the beaten path-- which was absolutely lovely). Judith cooked us a wonderful breakfast, which was totally unnecessary but again goes to show what kind of a hostess she is. The room itself was perfectly clean yet cozy, and the bed was quite comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about our short stay with Judith and Tim, and I recommend anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of town to soak in the beauty at Byamshire!
