The room is clean and nice, in one of the best streets of the city. Host very responsive and welcoming.
Unfortunately, some basic services were not working or not working nicely: internet was up and down all the time, running water in the shower with very little pressure but that's part of staying in an old house I guess, too little light in the bathroom.
It's a good value for money. I would recommend it unless you want some more frills than the basic.
rebecca is awesome! she looked out for us and when we arrived to amsterdam, she had already left me a message on my mobile welcoming us to her city. she had upgraded our room rental to a private apartment. the apartment was wonderful & centrally located and was tastefully decorated and quite cozy. communication with her was wonderful & helpful.
Rebecca runs several rooms in the same building, and I can only assume they're all as nice as the one I stayed in. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. Wifi worked great and there was even a small balcony for me to enjoy some fresh air on. Natural light engulfs the space during the day and it's location made it perfect for strolling around the canals at night. Wish I was able to stay more than one night there!
Although I never met Rebecca directly on the first day (Wasn't until the 2nd or 3rd I believe) she made me feel most welcome. The apartment was slightly different to the pictures, however was perfect for what was needed.
It was spacious, clean, warm, and I had fresh sheets/towels. The only issue was the shower (I'm used to a power shower) however this was adequate and made do (Just me being picky.) Everything else was perfect.
Just a tip of warning - Watch out for the stairs. In Amsterdam, they're not joking, they pretty much are ladders. So if you're bringing lots of luggage (Suitcase) then you may have trouble initially getting up the stairs.
However, all in all i'd give this a 10 out of 10. Worth the money, and it was lovely and comfortable.
Thank you very much Rebecca :)
This was a great experience! Couldn't have asked for a better host or private room. The description of the room was accurate and the host was was easily accessible to answer all our questions.
