Thank you and welcome to our home !
Very tidy and clean place. We were hosted by a very kind and lovely old lady.
This is a very good option if you have car, but it might be inconvenient when using public transportation because the place is far from the City Centre.
We take a lot of care in our listing to accurately describe our location, making it clear that we are not in the City Centre and that there is no public transport in our village. We do not think it is fair to then criticise saying "the place is far from the City Centre"
I object to being labelled " an old lady"!
This was my 1st time taking the plunge with airbnb, if this is how it is then I’m all-in feet 1st, Due to the warm welcome I got from Kate and her husband. Beautiful small village with fantastic views and extremely peaceful… Idyllic
Very short stay, was in Durham on business but will definitely stay there in the future. Kate’s hospitality and beautiful home should be a model for other airbnb’r. Nothing was too much trouble all information about local area was available, everything had been thought of all the little things which makes staying away really easy, very respectful and gracious hosts.
Kate and Mike are incredibly welcoming - the perfect airbnb hosts.
They have a lovely home with excellent accommodation and facilities. I have stayed on a fairly regular basis since January 2015 and look forward to staying with them in the future in their airbnb 'home from home'.
We were made to feel very welcome. We had exclusive use of three good-sized rooms - bedroom, bathroom and lounge - and open access to kitchen and own fridge. Very quiet neighbourhood. Pleasant views over countryside.
This was our first Airbnb stay and it went very well. We were on a big road trip around various universities so we didn't arrive till late on Friday but we had good communication with Kate on the way up and a warm welcome when we arrived. The house and the room is very clean and tidy and located in a very peaceful village just a few miles south of Durham. Kate and her husband are experienced hosts so everything has been thought of and is easily available. We had a great stay, albeit short.
Kate and Mike were, as ever, extremely hospitable. The room is very comfortable and the location is good for access to Durham.
Perfect space in a very quiet countryside village. Easy to reach and close tot Durham. Kate and Mike are lovely people who do their best to help and inform you but stille leave you all the privicy you wish. We absolutely recommend them.
