About This Listing
West Crudwell is a Cotswold country farmhouse situated in the midst of our 100 acre farm, together with cottages which are normally let on a long term basis. There are beautiful gardens, hard tennis court and heated outdoor swimming pool. Ample parking and stabling if required. We provide a full English breakfast and dinner is available with prior notice. We are on the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire border between Malmesbury, Tetbury and Cirencester - there is lots to do whatever your interests.
We have the following accommodation available:
Double with en-suite shower room and dressing area
Double with private bathroom and separate loo
Twin room and single room with shared bathroom
Breakfast is generally served in our country style kitchen and sometimes in the dining room depending on how many people are staying.
Guests do have use of a small private sitting room at one end of the house with fireplace and TV. There is access to an outdoor heated pool (summer only) and all-weather tennis court but this is during restricted times to be discussed with owner.
We are fairly relaxed and can generally be accommodating of all arrival times etc. We ask that you let us know what time you'd like breakfast the night before, latest is generally 09:30 There is no smoking in the house.
Such a delightful stay. We had a lovely ensuite double within the most stunning house and setting. Delicious cooked breakfast and ample tea and coffee. Nothing was too much trouble. So chilled and peaceful. Highly recommend if you are at a wedding or event in Crudwell.
The hosts both made us feel extremely welcome and went above and beyond by doing some washing and ironing for us.
Initially I was surprised to find out that there were many other people also staying there but that presented no problem.
May have been difficult to find without GPS, but no problem with this.
Zandra and her husband were extremely welcoming and warm hosts. They have a beautiful home full of character and in a wonderful setting. The room we had was extremely comfortable, especially the bed. Their recommendation for a meal at the local Potting Shed was spot on, with the food and drink being to a really good standard. This was our first trip to this area and our only complaint is that it was a really short trip! The breakfast in the morning was hearty, and we had the added treat of being joined by Twiglet the friendly resident dog. We're thinking of visiting again in the Summer.
What a great place. A beautiful house and grounds and incredibly welcoming hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay - and my slap up breakfast - and would heartily recommend to all.
Really warm and easy-going welcome from the whole family, accompanied by delicious tea and cake! Zandra was informative and hospitable throughout our stay. The house is beautiful and the room we stayed in had lovely views over the garden and surrounding countryside, especially when the sun shone. Crudwell is all you could want from a quaint Cotswold village - do make sure to ask Zandra to book you a table at the local gastro pub, The Potting Shed, which is also full of charm (and has a very extensive gin menu!) Full cholestrol breakfast went down a treat with us, but there were lots of other lighter options as well.
Zandra and Chris were lovely hosts and they made us feel extremely welcome. Their house is stunning, and there were lots of interesting things to do in the area like visit Tetbury, wander in Westonbirt Arboretum, and visit some local gastropubs. Twiglet (their dog) was also extremely sweet. Thanks for the great weekend!
This was a very pleasurable, relaxed experience, to stay with Zandra and Chris. I was made most welcome in their lovely home, and thank them very much for that. Barry

About the Host, Zandra
You'll usually find me running about the countryside trying to fit in as much as possible. I like to welcome people for B&B to enjoy the house I've called home for over 30 years and that has been in the family for many more years as well. We do feel that we live in a very special private location and we have so enjoyed sharing it with our guests over many years.
