In a building of great historical importance in the real heart of the historical center just 50 meters from Piazza Pitti and Ponte Vecchio we rent for short periods a beautiful apartment elegantly furnished, with frescoed ceilings and a lovely terrace area from where the poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote some of the her best works.
Located in ZTL zone so the car can be reached only in specific times (19.30-7) by car. The Oltrarno is the most characteristic quarters of Florence with all the services under the house (Bus, Pharmacy, markets, banks, bars, restaurants, public transport), A few steps from Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Santo Spirito and the Uffizi museum, and all the most important monuments and museums of Florence. The apartment consist of an entrance hall, kitchen fully furnished and equipped with all appliances, bathroom with shower, wonderfull living room with frescoed ceilings and dining room, single room, two double bedroom with frescoed ceilings and one a private bathroom with a bath, and a lovely terrace with a large table to eat. Internet wi-fi, dishwasher, washing machine, TV with satellite and digital terrestrial.
Accommodates up to 4 people or 2 people with 2 children. Due to its location everything is close at hand, close to home you will find a supermarket, a wash & dry, a public garage, market day, as well as shops and typical of the traditional cuisine that make this district a vibrant and likely place to spend a pleasant stay.
I remember if you book that in addition to the cost of the Florence City Council calling for a city tax of 2.50 € per person per night for up to 7 nights, children under 12 years do not pay. Upon your arrival you will be asked therefore the full amount of the fee and you will receive a receipt of cash that then I have to pay to the City of Florence.
Interaction with guests
Our guests will be welcomed or my daughter Catherine who manages all or by me personally, we will always be at their disposal for any question or request them.
The apartment is gorgeous on the second floor of a historic building of only 4 floors with elevator.
Check in is from 15 to 20, it is made after the 20 within 22 with addition of 20 €. After 22 and always within 24 you will have to pay the difference of € 30 extra. The check-out must be done before 10 am.
From Piazza San Felice to Via Maggio is one of the historic streets of Florence, there are antique dealers oldest and most interesting shops, then Piazza Pitti Palazzo Pitti with its wonderful that you can also see from the window of the house.
Just to the right of the door is the bus stop into the city center or train station.

You can book at the time of booking the apartment, a typically Tuscan cooking classes:
The cooking classes are held usually on request at 9:00 in the morning or at 16:00 in the afternoon and end with a luncheon or a dinner, cooked precisely the course participants, who can taste the dishes they have prepared during class. Each lesson lasts about three, four hours.
Cooking classes and whilst they are not 'professional', they offer a typical Italian dishes for you to share with your family and friends when you return home, Teacher and chef of the course are the .... who will be well-versed in teaching their students how to cook typical Tuscan dishes, even for those who are beginners.
On request I am pleased to arrange cooking lessons for specific purposes and for larger groups.
Prices are in accordance with the type of course, group size and content of the class. As a guide, based on 2 people takign part, the price is 80 euros per person for one 3-4 hour class.
The cooking classes will take place directly in the kitchen of my apartment in Firenze, and will conclude with dinner or lunch on the terrace.
Here, there are some dishes "students" usually prepare and eat:
• Appetisers:Tuscan canapé (crostini) (made with chicken liver); Mushroom canapé; Bruschetta (toasted Tuscan bread, topped with with fresh tomato and olive oil);
• First courses: (pasta) Hand made pasta. Tortelli and ravioli (for example tortelli are pasta pockets stuffed with mashed potatoes, parsley, egg, parmigiano cheese, garlic). Meat gravy. Spaghetti alla Carbonara (egg, bacon, black pepper, seasoned cheese sauce).Bavette al pesto (a sort of spaghetti with a basil, pine seed, olive oil, seasoned cheese sauce), Lasagne; Pasta al Ragout Bolognese, etc...
• Second courses: arista roast.
• Desserts: Bianco mangiare (a sort of panna cotta, but in its traditional form), Tiramisù
All lunches are accompanied by fine Chianti!
1 - It is recommended to take out the rubbish and various bottles and not to put them on the terrace , as front of the house there is a garbage collection . We must also be careful not to leave the house key in the lock on the inside of the door or else you can no longer open from the outside.
2 - Switch off the air conditioning when you leave, especially when we go.
3 - Do not leave the keys in the door lock but remove them and place on the table inside the house.
