Our neighborhood is wonderful in part because it is just that - a true neighborhood. We live on a dead end road and so it is quiet yet still very close to town and all that Stowe offers.
You will need a car to stay here. There are places in town to rent bikes as well. Parking is included.
Other Things to Note
We have three wonderful teenagers who while busy with school and other activities are often available to babysit. Just ask and if they can, they will! They charge $12/hour.
First and foremost, enjoy yourself!

Please turn down the heat and shut off the lights if you are leaving for an extended period of time. It helps to keep our cost down and yours!

Simone was a great host. She answered all our questions promptly. The house was just as described. Everything we needed to be comfortable was there. It was clean, well furnished and the kitchen was great. It was really quiet and peaceful. The bed was super comfortable and we left with clean clothes due to the washing machine. I just wish we had more time to explore the local hiking trails.
SImone's place was great. We had our own little house with 3 beds in a large room with an adjoining room. Everything was clean and there were plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels. We were about 15 minutes from the mountain, which was fantastic!
Did exactly what it said on the tin.
Simone was very warm and welcoming on the first day.
The apartment was warm cosy and quiet close to everything
Simone's cottage was even better than we expected! It was immaculate, well-stocked, very comfortable and convenient to both the ski mountain and town. The cottage comfortably slept three adults and an infant.
Mike and Simone were very friendly, yet unobtrusive. There are tons of Stowe guides and information available in the cottage. You will never run out of things to do!
I would love to return next time I am in Stowe. It's great to find a gem like this!
Simone's cottage was very comfortable for two of us and well equipped enough to cook-in instead of going out every night. Location is quiet, yet close enough to town and access to Trapp's Lodge and Stowe Mountain. We were able to snowshoe out the door to Cady Hill Forest Preserve where we saw deep snow and nobody else on the trails. The washer and dryer were handy for wet winter clothes. Also, Simone was right next door with any information we needed.
Simone and Michael were very kind and made every effort for me and my son to feel comfortable at their very cosy sunny and quite house. They live next door and are always happy to help, but you don't need it - everything is there to make you feel right. They also have good recommendations as to the best restaurants in the neighborhood. The house itself is neat and clean and comfortable, and it's significantly larger than what you might feel like looking at the pictures. It doesn't have a cable TV and internet is somewhat limited but you don't come to Vermont for that, right?
This 'little house next door' worked out very nicely for the four of us while skiing at Stowe last week. Positively spotless and more than sufficiently equipped with necessities, this place proved to be a cozy refuge for our apres ski lounging and dining . Mike and Simone were particularly considerate hosts and we do hope to return there again next year!
Mike and I have lived in Stowe for more than 15 years. We absolutely love Vermont - the beauty, charm, environmental and community focus, local and fresh food, music, theatre, art and all of the outside activities. Every season brings new activities. The hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing - all of it - is really wonderful and more than accessible. Mike mountain bikes, skis and hikes more than I do and can give you tons of information about places to go.
I'm originally from Providence, RI and Mike is originally from NH. We feel lucky to have the opportunity to enable people from other places to come and experience Stowe and its surrounding area. We love having guests come and stay in our cottage and are available to answer any questions you may have. The more you can relax and enjoy here the better! Our backyard is peaceful. I like to garden (when I have time!) and hope that you enjoy the flowers and the setting. And we are always open to feedback so if there is something we can do to make your experience better, please let us know. Both Mike and I love to travel and to experience places from a "locals" point of view but also appreciate our privacy and know that you do too. Vermont is a beautiful place so come visit!
