The host felt like an old friend the minute I walked in. Catherine added so much positive energy to what could have been a difficult trip to go through my late father's house in the neighborhood. I enjoyed every part of staying at her home: from her harp playing (she's a music thanatologist for hospices and hospitals); to her savory breakfasts with herbs and veggies from her beautiful garden; to her historic and well-kept house; to her interesting and insightful conversation on almost any topic. I could go off by myself or hours or sit and chat. It was all so easy, authentic, and enjoyable. Amenities like laundry, WiFi, kitchen, bathroom, TV, were all convenient and functioned well. There's a beautiful deck that catches the brilliant morning sun, a nice desk in the room, plenty of closet and dresser storage space. The neighborhood is quiet and I slept better than at home!

I enjoyed my stay in this comfortable home in a lovely and convenient Spokane neighborhood. The bedroom is simple and nice, one of three on the second floor, with the other two bedrooms occupied by the residents of the home. There is a lovely deck outside the kitchen where you can sit and read or eat your breakfast. I travelled by public transport to the center and even out to the airport, and enjoyed walking and biking all over the city. I recommend Catherine's home to travelers who enjoy folding into their host's home. Wi-fi spotty; I hope Catherine can upgrade it so it is easily accessed in bedroom and on the deck.

Catharine was a great host from start to finis. Great communication and the accommodations were clean and comfy. The housemate Lindsay and her pooch Zoey made sure all of our needs were taken care of. It was nice to stay in a home that would accommodate our dog. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Spokane!

Grand older home in a lovely part of town, with ancient trees, big, older homes; safe and friendly. Above the hospital on a hill with easy access and wonderful, safe, clean areas to walk. Catharine's warm welcome and open heart made for a wonderful stay.

Catharine is that special host who is comfortable in her own skin and makes a sincere effort to ensure that a guest feels comfortable as well. I was in the area on a work-related quest, and had some studying to do in the evenings. Catharine's casual way of running her household allowed me to come and go, use the kitchen to heat meals, and study quietly upstairs with ease. I enjoyed coming back to a warm home with friendly people inside, as opposed to a hotel room.

I am a musician, playing harp, guitar, ukelele, and churango among other instruments. I am a music-thanatologist, playing harp for those at the end of life at the hospital and for hospice. I am a single, divorced mother of four wonderful grownup children. I am also a music teacher. I love reading a good book (anything from fiction to history and beyond!), open water swimming, and travel, especially to Paris, France, where my daughter lives. Sharing my home is a joy for me; to offer a comfortable, relaxed environment, where you can feel at home.
