Stay in New Orleans like a local! This safe & quiet home is by to the historic mansions of the Garden District & a short streetcar ride to the French Quarter. Full of local, small biz shopping, bars, breweries and restaurants, and close to the tourist sites of downtown, you can kick back after a long day of exploring and relax in this peaceful neighborhood full of NOLA flavor. I own it & live next door- I've furnished it with all the character, love & care to make you feel at home! - Michelle

The space
You have private access to the whole half of this "shotgun" home- the two bedrooms, sitting room, shower-only bathroom and fully stocked kitchen with its own back entrance (access to bedroom #2 without walking through bedroom #1).
- Beds: there is a Queen bed and a Full bed
- 4 is the maximum number of guests
- Please do not book if you have children under 5 years old.
- No pets allowed & service animals can never be left in the rental alone.
IMPORTANT: All rooms are connected- shotgun houses do not have hallways (except for the bathroom), so all rooms are walk-through. This design helped airflow in my 1939 arts & crafts style home, BUT IS NOT IDEAL FOR ALL GUESTS! BE SURE TO VIEW THE PHOTOS BEFORE BOOKING.

You have the full townhouse-style home and backyard with a gated side gangway for shaded lounging, parking motorcycles, bikes, etc. (it's too narrow for a car.

This home is fully licensed & legal for short-stay guests!*

Neighborhood highlights

This safe & quiet neighborhood is called the Irish Channel. It is 2 blocks from the river and lots of streets lead directly to downtown/the French Quarter. It is very near Magazine St., famous for locally-owned small business shopping & loved-by-locals bars, restaurants, coffee houses & breweries. The Irish Channel is adjacent to the historic mansions & cemeteries of the Garden District, great for architecture and fine dining. It is a short Uber, bus ride or streetcar ride to the tourist sites of downtown, but you can kick back after a long day of exploring and relax in this peaceful neighborhood full of NOLA flavor. The bright, colorful Caribbean flavor of the Channel will charm you!
