The is the perfect place to see the island of Maui. We were able to go the National Park several times and did not have any traffic. Paia Hale is a great location to see the island. It is close to the beach and the great surf watching point. We could walk to the small 60/70ish style town of Paia where there was plenty of small shops and food. The cottage was a one bedroom and it was clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen was stocked with all the tools to cook and eat at home. We were able to see the whole island! Sunrise at Haleakala, drive the Hana Hwy, Wailea-Makena. The only mistake we made was going to the Nakalele Blowhole from this side of the island! Don't do it, Kahekili Hwy is not for the faint in a convertible rental car. This is when I wished we had rented a small car or Jeep. We survived without destroying the rest of our stay. The next day we went down the Hana Hwy, my husband said it was a freeway compared to the Kahekili Hwy. We can laugh now and I'm glad we had this cottage to come back to each night and relax or decompress! It was quiet and the bed was comfy. I would recommend this place to friends and family Mahalo Margia & Pat Flaa

Jacque and Danny have a great cottage in Paia! We arrived in the evening and check in was seamless with the directions provided. The cottage was cozy and perfect for the two of us. The AC unit was appreciated even in January! We loved this spot in Paia, great restaurants and beaches nearby, as well as a central location for the Road to Hana and Haleakalā for sunrise. Would highly recommend staying at Paia Hale!

Enjoyed my stay at this cottage in Paia town. It's clean, light, and has good ventilation with windows open, didn't use the air conditioner durning stay.. The house has other homes in all directions around it, some closer then others, but has a nice bit of privacy as do most all of the neighboring homes thanks to fencing and foliage. The town is great for healthy food, creative local folks, all around some of the best beaches in the world.. Recommend this place for some nice chillaxing and exploring the area and others on Maui ️

We stayed in the 1 bedroom cottage for 7 nights. I don't have a single bad thing to say about the host, the cottage or the town. If you don't want to be in the middle of the tourist parts of Maui but you want to be able to walk to a really cool town & the beach - stay here. Less than a 10 minute walk to the town (tons of great food) and beach. The place was clean, kitchen was stocked with all needed utensils to cook meals. The A/C was great to have after sitting in the sun on the beach all day. We will never stay anywhere else on Maui. Thank you so much Jacque!

My husband and I grew up in the islands, raised 3 beautiful daughters and now have 6 grandsons. Prior to moving to Maui in 1999, we lived in Kailua on Oahu and then spent 9 years in Waimea on the Big Island. The North Shore of Maui provides all the activities we enjoy from golf and tennis to biking and walking the beach. We have embraced Maui's slow pace and laid back lifestyle. We love to travel and have stayed in many private vacation rentals so know the importance of providing a comfortable and friendly environment. I have been a realtor in Hawaii since 1972.
