BEST LOCATION in SHIBUYA by far!!!
This is your OWN private apartment in Shibuya. The most popular place in town for all the locals, especially young, but old too. Walking through Shibuya is hands down the most UNFORGETTABLE experience in Tokyo. I must go here at least 3 times a week, usually more!
As you can see on map view here on AIRBNB, this is one of 2 apartments I have in the same building that is in the CENTER of SHIBUYA. NOT up the hill (terrible walk with your suitcase) on the way out of Shibuya like the cluster of apartments west. This apartment is actually in the center of all the action ( 6 minute walk to Shibuya station ) and as easy 10 minute walk to HARAJUKU or YOYOGI PARK!
You can find so much to do nearby to do that you probably won't even need a train for a few of the days you stay here. If you want to stay out LATE, this is definitely the place to stay!! You are less than 5 minutes walk from at least 10 NIGHTCLUBS with a famous DJ playing almost every night of the week somewhere. There is definitely a place to go every night! You like restaurants? You can find everything in Shibuya!

People who have been to Tokyo before know this is the place to stay. If you don't reserve here, you will wish you had and you will the second time you come to Tokyo. This room may look small but it has been remodeled and is really nice. Besides, this room is all about the location!

Have fun but don't be too loud. If you need something, email or call me.
Most importantly, make yourself at home and be comfortable.
It was a pleasure staying at Will’s apartment. Will responded to our request promptly and was very good about communication up front. The information he provided prior to our arrival was very helpful and we had no troubles finding the place. The apartment itself tucked away on a quiet side street just a minute walk away from Center Gai and about 5 minutes from Shibuya station. The space is perfect for two people and made for a great place to rest between excursions into various Tokyo neighborhoods. The pocket Wi-Fi included in this listing was indispensable. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Tokyo.
Accomodation is in the perfect location. Don't worry about finding the place will's directions are perfect. We loved the free wifi which you can use while traveling around tokyo (supplied by will). It made it really easy to get around. Will was great at giving us any information we needed. The only things that could be a bit better were the cleanliness of the quilts which had long black hairs on it and something spilt on the bottom. The pillows were also extremely uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on our jumpers. We also found the fold out bed uncomfortable to sleep on. But for where this apartment is, it was worth a little bit of an uncomfortable sleep.
+ Place was exactly as advertised. Very convenient and within walking vicinity to train station, restaurants and small shopping area.
+ Place is kept clean
+ House Map and Manual are very precise
+ I would continue to stay in the place especially if working within a tight budget
- Bathroom tub is very small to maneuver around
The main attraction of this place is the location, which is indeed fantastic. It is located right off one of the main streets in Shibuya, and very easy to find based on Will's detailed instructions.
There are lots of restaurants, convenience stores, and shops in the surrounding area. Our group of three people didn't explore Shibuya as much as we originally planned, but being close to Shibuya Station was perfect for hopping on the subway, JR trains, and Keiō trains.
The room was almost exactly as expected. It was tight, but doable for 3 people (1 couple, 1 individual), even with two of us being 6 ft. tall or more. The room was slightly darker, dirtier, and more cobbled together than how it looked in the clean, bright photos. There was some outside noise (mostly crows cawing in the morning), but it wasn't a big problem.
Two beds were provided as requested, but we had to search around the room to find enough sheets, pillows, and blankets for three people. The bedding and pillows were low quality and the mattresses were somewhat uneven, but we slept soundly anyway after long days of sightseeing.
The bathroom was small, but probably not much smaller than many other apartment bathrooms in Tokyo. The handheld showerhead only hung on the wall at waist height, which some Westerners may not be used to. The sink also leaked a bit, which caused a continuous pool of water on the counter.
Amenities provided were minimal, but enough. The portable wifi was a huge benefit and worked well in most places. We found several umbrellas in a closet, which was nice to have when it rained.
We had minimal communication with Will, but he was quick to respond whenever we messaged him.
Overall, I would recommend this place, but probably only for 1-2 people. Three is definitely a crowd!
Location, location, location! I greatly enjoyed staying at Will's apartment in Shibuya. The biggest plus is its wonderful location--a short walk away from Shibuya Station (and hence an easy commute from Narita or Haneda Airport) and its famous Scramble, right around the corner from the wonderful Tokyu Hands store (I like to browse its pen and stationery section), and best of all for me, a short walk away from my son's apartment. The place was a snap to book, and Will responded literally within minutes of my payment to give me detailed instructions on how to find his apartment, as well as other logistical information. I mentioned that my son might stay with me, so he put an extra futon in the room. The pocket wifi router was a nice plus.
The apartment does have a couple of quirks--the bath tub is a bit cramped, and I could occasionally hear some noise from the neighbors (though never from the street). However, those are tiny inconveniences compared to the location, which is great for anyone who wants to be in Shibuya--and unbeatable for me. I'll definitely want to stay here again in the future.
A really great apartment in an amazing location (Literally does not get any better)! We had such a great time and the apartment was functional but comfortable and clean. The portable wi-fi was a great addition too and so useful. Will's directions were concise and clear too. The apartment is compact but fine for two people which we were. Thanks so much!!
You are absolutely correct Holly: the location does not get any better. As I put in the title, this is the REAL center of Shibuya. You are totally in the middle of it and will never want to be inside. If you are, this place is ideal for 2 guests and definitely crowded for three. You can have four if you want but it is not recommended. I do make it option for you though if you have kids or want to squeeze in as the location is awesome.
Place is 5 minutes walk from the buzzling Shibuya and has a convenient shop right opposite. Place is a little small for 2 pax but will be ideal for 1 if you are just looking for a place to sleep after walking around. Will has been very clear with the directions on getting to the place so it was easy to find. The pros was that the place is tidy and clean when we were there. It has whatever that is needed. Only downside i felt was that Bed was not very comfortable.

Nice to meet you. My name is Will. I love hosting on airbnb and it is my life. It is tons of fun and there are new surprises every day! I have met so many interesting people as a host and I look forward to those I will meet in the future.
I am a sports fan, reader, movie goer, and I like to try new things. I play golf, basketball, and just about any sport you can think of. I love ramen, yakiniku, yakitori, and shabu shabu here in Japan. I love to try pizza all over the world when I travel.
Relationships are the most important thing for me in my personal life as well as business. I like to go out and have a good time with my friends and meet new people.
I have learned so much from my over three years as an airbnb host and I am pleased to say I have most questions answered for you before you ask them, whether it be in the description of the listing or in the detail I supply you with at confirmation. Still, I am always thinking of ways to make the guest experience more comfortable, efficient, and hassle free. This is my goal as a host. I will continue to get more places every month so I can host more travelers. I want everyone to see Tokyo at least once!
Tokyo is a great place to come and people from all over the world visit here making it a truly international city. I love Tokyo and seeing the amazing sights and people. It is a great place to explore and every day can be different. This is an awesome destination for walkers and wanders filled with friendly people, tasty restaurants, and plenty of lights. My tip is to make the initial contact with Japanese people because they are typically shy at first. They will be happy to try to practice their English with you.
Hope I can host you soon! May your trip to Tokyo be as amazing as my 7 years here has been!
