This cozy apartment is right in the town of Gig Harbor, WA. Walk to the Harbor or just enjoy spending time inside. The apartment is well stocked with everything you will need to stay a day, week or month, from silverware to linens. Quiet and romantic
Located in the quite town of Gig Harbor, this cozy and private home apartment is in the center of many activities.
Right outside your garden entrance are trails that lead to the Harbor, deep woods or to the new YMCA and the old district of Gig Harbor. This apartment is close in to town yet quiet in the lush green woods.
It is well stocked with everything you will need to stay a day, week or month, from silverware to linens. Cook up a batch of cookies on one of our rainy days or explore our mountain ranges on a sunny day hike. All the lights dim for that romantic ambiance.
Perfect for a single or couple at rates half of the local hotels with pure comfort and privacy.
Bring your dog, we are also close to public transportation, just down the street.
The Harbor offers a full day of antiquing, picnicking or just watch the fishing boats come in.
A secluded path leads from the 2 car parking to your front door. A side garden and a fenced 20 x 16' patio with BBQ is part of the apartment. Windows look out over beautiful landscaping on a private road. Full bath and laundry room. 2 Queen beds (one is a pull out couch in the livingroom). Pets are encouraged.
Interaction with Guests
I typically do not see my guests once checked in. The entrance and garden is completely private.
The neighborhood is quiet with older growth trees situated in a growing urban area. A short walk through the woods you find the YMCA, Starbucks, costco and all shopping amenities. 1 mile walk you see the Harbor.
Bus routes are at the end of the street. During the summer we have a 50 cent trolley to downtown. Bike paths and the Cushman trail is a mile away and goes 10 miles to the Narrows Bridge. Ferries get you to most Islands and Vashon Island can be seen from Gig Harbor and a short trip over. The Sounder train gets you to Seattle, Portland and Vancouver Canada.
Other Things to Note
I do have summer and winter rates. Renting by the week or month is less. 3 months or more is the best rate.
No Smoking. Respect the neighborhood, a quiet and private area. Please keep the apartment clean. Parking for 2 cars on street front.
We were very welcomed by Barbara and she did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and a pleasant place to be.
This was the perfect place for me to gather with my daughters for Thanksgiving. The apartment is cozy and nicely kept up. Our sweet dog was welcomed too which was great!!! I felt that Barbara trusted us to take care of everything and I appreciated that. It felt like a shared "home space", not a money making "hotel" kind of place.
Would certainly recommend!!
This is the perfect hideaway. My wife and I were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary while on a visit to see our son and daughter in law who had recently moved to the area.
Upon entering you are immediately taken with all the small touches that make the place so inviting. The wall decor and wooden furniture with glass table accents make the home warm and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with toiletries and a holder for our toothbrushes! The bedroom was dark and quiet. The wardrobe for hanging our clothes was roomy. The bed was comfortable. My wife says I did not snore once!
We were out and about most of the time but with a kitchen, washer and dryer, entertainment center with DVD'S and cable TV, as well as wifi we could have easily spent all our time in this lovely apartment. We did entertain one night.
The private entry and the convenient parking really give you a sense that this is your own retreat. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.
It is conveniently located for shopping, the YMCA and trips to the major sight seeing areas . We spent time in Gig Harbor,Tacoma and Seattle. All felt close.
We highly recommend and will return. It made for a memorable anniversary. Thanks Barbara!
Hi, I live in the Pacific Northwest, USA, where we have a lot of rain but the most beautiful environment anywhere. I love to garden, bike, and about anything active and outdoors.
