Bathing is outside. There is a Vermont Castings Fireplace Stove for heat and atmosphere. There is plenty of wood provided. We also have 2 EdenPure electric heaters that work great!! A barbecue grill is off the Sun Porch. For your enjoyment the is no TV or radio. (We will supply a radio if you wish.) Cell service is minimal but if you walk up the road 200 yards you can get it.

Magnifique endroit.
Kevin and Leslie were great hosts who made me feel welcome and at home in their lovely cabin by the stream. Kevin met me at the cabin to give me an explanation of how everything worked. Directions on how to use the grill, stove, and other amenities were also written clearly and left on the kitchen table. It was the perfect place to unplug, relax, and restore. A little time in paradise!!! We will definitely be back!!
It's hard to describe how special this place is. The cabin is even more spacious and beautiful in person. The grounds are dreamy. Ferns line the pathways. Fir trees blow in the breeze. Flowers and fresh air abound. You can constantly hear the brook. Magical and peaceful. Even the road up is stunning with old barns and homesteads. In fact, the best maple syrup and pies on the planet (I'm not exaggerating) are only minutes away. See Doton farm on the road up to the cabin for syrup. What a bargain and such nice people. I bought 8 containers. And run don't walk to get a pie (Strawberry/Rhubarb) from On the Edge Farm. Sublime!!! Especially with a glass of red. As for the host well Kevin is incredibly warm and gracious. We felt completely at home and grateful that he and Lesley are willing to share this place with others. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We will definitely return!
This was truly an amazing and perfect experience.
We had a very relaxing time here. We loved seeing the stars and hearing the river at night!
If we would live closer, we would come by every month! Also thanks to the lovely host Lesley for being so kind to us.
The cabin and the area around it was absolutely beautiful. We met Lesley once we arrived and she was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions about the area, how to use the modern outhouse (which was not bad at all), the bathtub and grill. Her food suggestions (Max's tavern and On the Edge farm) were great! Although we knew how to contact them if we needed to, we had total privacy. We really enjoyed our stay.
Although GPS directions was OK, Kevin has met us on the way to the cabin. He gave us excellent explanation of everything inside and even left us some foods for the first meal. Cabin is even better than we expected and the privacy and beauty of the lot including the stream are highly impressive. Kevin was so kind to give us directions to great place to eat breakfast and to buy best local foods - meat, pies and icecream. Thanks a lot Kevin for the great vacation ever.
We've made our visit to this cabin an annual affair. The location is wonderful. The cabin is lovely and meets our every need. A perfect get-a-way from city life surrounded by nature. Kevin and Lesley are great hosts and always make our stay super easy. They are very responsive hosts! We will be back again next year!
About the Host, Kevin & Lesley
My wife and i live in Woodstock,VT. Lesley is a jeweler and i am a wallpaper hanger. We have been in Vermont for 40 years and we love it here. Our cabin is very private and relaxing. It is our hideaway!! We just started renting the cabin the Summer of 2013. We manage another property - so the whole renting thing is pretty easy and simple. We can meet you there -open the gate, give you the key, show you around the cabin- and it is yours to enjoy!!
