Camila and Paulo are a very nice and friendly couple and they do everything that you feel comfortable at their place - this with great success. I felt myself welcomed from the very first moment I met them and half hour later Camila spread the map of Lisbon over the table and gave me a lot of good addresses to visit in the city as well in the surroundings. I spent 3 days in their Pensão at Praça das Flores, a very nice place in Lisbon. Thank you very much!
Great staying in Paulo & Camila's house! Good place to meet people from all over the world and enjoy Lisoba, Rooms are very cleans and comfortable.I can say Excellent!!!
I stayed at Paulo & Camila's newer apartment before although didn't meet them that time. This time I was staying in their prior flat, they were very welcoming and amiable and I actually prefer this flat as it's on a lovely little square (with great place for brunch). Whilst all the rooms are quite small, the front room (onto the square, not this one—there was a slight mixup with my room assignment but it was resolved without issue.) is super but the other rooms lack windows, however there's a lounge, dining area, plus a terrace out back too so you needn't feel cooped up.
A pousada está bem localizada e Paulo e Camila foram extremamente agradável l! Ate mais!
Paulo and Camila were very kind, generous hosts. Paulo took the time to go through a map of the city, share his favorite local spots and best ways to get around which was unexpected and a great experience. They also extended an invitation to join them and friends for a night in the Alfama district to listen to Fado. The house is on a beautiful small plaza with great restaurants right outside. I recommend the chocolate cake at Restaurante Canelo, it's incredible. Great hosts, great apartment (love the back patio) and a wonderful city. Thank you!
Paulo e Camila are nice and friendly hosts and take care of the flat, cleaning it on a daily basis. I was unlucky that for th first 3 days of my stay I had to share the flat with another guest that was very dirty and loud, making my stay less pleasant. The flat is not modern and most rooms don't have a window towards the outside. They are connected by an internal window, which is not ideal if you share with noisy guests. The other guests I met were really nice and interesting people to have around. The location is great, in a quiet and central area opposite a minimarket. I probably wouldn't recommend it to lonely female travellers as myself, as coming back late at night didn't feel too safe. The flat is also well equipped and the terrace is a very pleasant place to relax and feel at home.
Really dirty place. I did'nt enjoy staying there.
Dear Hélène we think that you are making a big mistake, maybe you are thinking in other place that you went!!! because we clean the flat every day! Some times our guest leave the kitchen our the bathroom dirty but the next day we clean.
One of the main rules in the flat is to keep the common ares clean!
Some times doesn't happen as you saw.
Paulo and Camila were very kind and welcoming hosts who gave us valuable information about Lisbon. Everything worked well with arrival, keys etc. The apartment is perfectly located at a beautiful square, and our room just as well as the bathroom and kitchen was tidy and comfortable. It's a good place to stay if you are a social person and want to meet other travellers, and the terrace is perfect for having breakfast before heading out to explore Lisbon.
The apartment is in a brilliant location, not least because Praça das Flores is very beautiful especially on a scorching hot day and you're desperate for some shade. From the apartment you can easily walk to the Jardim Botanico, through Principe Real, down to Baixa and then Rossio, with some amazing views of the city along the way.
The apartment itself is very lovely, with the added bonus of having an outside patio which was great for breakfast and the early evenings. It also has a washing line for you to hang your clothes to dry on, which was handy as we hand-washed a couple of items. The kitchen is well stocked and the bedrooms simple but very comfortable.
Paulo and Camilla were very accommodating. Unfortunately we weren't able to meet them on our short stay but they were very easy to communicate with, and very helpful. We were the difficult ones to contact because my phone didn't work, but they found ways of making sure we had everything we needed which we are grateful for.
A great place to stay!
I had two stays over a few days at Paolo's place, first when I started and seconf when I finished my roundtrip in Portugal. Both stays were incredible. The apartment is located in a very nice neighborhood of Lisbon (Baixo alto) directly on a little square (Placa flores) with nice garden and a sweet fountain. Directly in front of the house you find a tiny kiosk with the best bica (espresso) ever. You also find a little supermarket one stone throw away. The apartment is easily accessible with metro, the station (Rato) is about 10-12 Min away. In the area you find lot of bars, a very good restaurant (called Trivial) and many other good and inexpensive eating places. I had nice chats with 2 other people with who I shared the apartment with. Everything was very clean and comfortable. And it was nice to share the spacious and sunny terrace, the full equipped kitchen and the nice furnished living room. I slept comfortable and felt myself safe and warmly welcomed by Paolo and his wife. They are wonderful hosts and the apartment is a must if you want to spend some wonderful days in Lisbon. At the beginning he showed me all the nice places in Lisbon on a map and gave me very nice and helpful information. Thanks again for everything and all best for you!
