There is a green belt pathway that runs the length of the resort. The park is around the corner and Shipwreck Beach 400 ft. away. Enjoy three great beaches within walking distance: Shipwrecks, Wai'ohai, and Breneke's.
Multiple options for shopping, dining, golf, swimming pools and tennis are all within the resort.
The Kauai City Bus picks up at the Hyatt and at other locations throughout Poipu. The Hyatt has a car rental kiosk. Your can also schedule a tour at the Hyatt concierge desk.
Other Things to Note
Adventure activities such as ATV tours, Helicopter rides, scenic road trips, botanical gardens, deep sea fishing are nearby.
1. In Hawaii we leave our shoes outside on the lanai. This way we do not track sand and dirt into the house.
2. Kauai has the highest energy prices per KWh. When using the split-system AC in the bedrooms please close all doors and windows and turn off the unit when you leave the bedroom.
Continuing with that thought...Always check that all unnecessary lights, electronics and appliances are off when not in use.
3. Please no children under the age of 16.
4. Try to remove all sand prior to entering the suite.
We love to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs when we can. If you feel you need more time please make a request and we will check the schedule to see if it is possible. If it is not possible please honor the check-in time of 3:00 p.m. and the check-out time of 11:00 am. This give us time to make the suite nice, clean and attractive for the next guest.
Arrival was very simple with the provided door code and welcome sheet. The space was exactly as described and exactly what we were hoping for. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival, we were lucky enough to overlap with the property manager Terri too; she told us about a great secluded beach. A great experience and we would stay here again.
The Alii Suite is incredible- I have to say the pictures don't do it justice.
Upon arrival the driveway takes you back away from the street, evoking an "entry to jurassic park" feeling. When the beautiful house was revealed we knew we were in for a treat.
The Alii suite is the whole second floor of the home. The well stocked kitchenette in the lounge has plenty of hardware to cook small meals, and there's a private lanai with a tip toe view of the ocean. The bathroom was absolutely massive and luxurious- combined with the walk in closet I think it was bigger than my first apartment.
The cherry on top was an air conditioner in the bedroom for comfortable sleeping. After staying elsewhere with open air humid nights, that was really nice.
You would pay many many times more to stay in a suite this nice at the neighboring Grand Hyatt. We enjoyed walking around their grounds and to the neighboring beach (public by law). We didn't meet our hosts but they were helpful in advance and their property manager was responsive during our stay. Overall it was quiet, luxurious and comfortable, and we would love to come back!
It was the perfect spot for us. We attended a wedding literally across the street at the Grand Hyatt. With the hot plate, toaster oven and refrigerator we were able to prepare meals which saved alot of money. The grocery store was not fact away. The hotplate was not working well when we first used it and it was replaced within hours...thank you! Everything we needed to know was in the in house folder. There were plenty of guide books available inn the suite as well. The humidity was intense over the labor day weekend and it was quite a relief to have air conditioning in the bedroom to get a good nights sleep. The sleep number bed was also a welcome surprise. The bathroom was grand! Full size soaking tub with mountain veiw was extra special. It was a beautiful vacation.
This is our second time to this property, and it didn't disappoint. We had been dreaming of coming back since our last amazing visit. This time we dealt with their property manager day to day who was friendly and accessible. We took advantage of the huge bathtub and even with a hurricane threatening we had plenty of lovely sunny walks around the neighborhood. For us this is the perfect location for day trips and lazy days at the pool or beach. The AC in the bedroom is a nice way to sleep. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for our arrival. Thanks again!
My fiancé and I were amazed by this lovely suite! We wish we could have stayed another week. We will definitely be coming back as soon as possible. Thank you Jeff and Jennifer for the convenient professionalism.
Everything was great, it was setup with step by step instructions! The suite was great, more than we could have imagined...even provided a complimentary bag of coffee in the kitchen! The location is great, really less than a few minutes walk to the Hyatt spa and resort.
Poipu Spa and Inn is a beautiful new custom home, footsteps from the Grand Hyatt. When we got there, it was definitely a "pinch me" moment. The property did the epitome of offering everything my girlfriend and I were looking for at our price point, and more. Be warned if the enjoyment of your stay hinges on an expansive ocean view, this peekaboo might not do it for you. However, as we sat on the lanai sipping beers after a long day of exploring, the glimpse of the ocean, full moon and sweet sounds of Hawaiian music wafting from the resort did it for us. We were very happy to duck inside, enjoy the huge bathroom, and leave the screaming kids to the resort guests.

About the Host, Jeff & Jennifer
I have a wonderful family and we live full time on the Island of Kauai. My husband and I are engineers. Since starting with AirBnB, we have had many members from wedding parties stay with us and suggest that we provide wedding / event planning. Check us out on poipuweddings! We live with our youngest son, Connor, who is 16 and our family dog (princess) named Porsche. We love Kauai for it's nature and beauty. We love to hike, swim, board, bike and zumba.
We love to travel. Our next favorite area is Telluride / Ouray Colorado.
