The Space

A very comfortable double room in a 1 bedroom apartment, clean and really spacious in an apartment house in the centre of Birmingham. Free broadband Wi Fi, Sky TV. Feel free to use the washing machine and kitchen. Electrical heating- keep yourself warm and cosy! Clean sheets and towels will be provided without extra cost. A light breakfast is included in the price (tea, coffee, milk or orange juice, yoghurt, cornflakes, some fruits).

The room can easily accommodate 2 or 3 people. If you need an extra bed, please let me know in advance and it can be provided. The room is normally used as a living room but it's completely private once the guests are in. Short stays are also welcome, even if you need it just for one night. Family friendly (no charge for kids). The neighbourhood is safe.

More details about the location - Victoria Square, Town Hall, City Council and Birmingham museum, Symphony Hall and New Street- are just about 4 - 6 minutes away. It's very close to Snow Hill train station (just 3 minutes to walk to the closest entrance, 5 minutes to the main entrance). The New Street train station is also within walking distance: 5 or 10 minutes- it depends if you prefer a moderate or quick pace, if you have to wait for the green lights and if you have more or less luggage. When you are coming from London or Birmingham airport most trains will lead you to New Street station.

Birmingham is a diverse and dynamic city, with its fascinating history and world-class cultural scene. Many great places are virtually at hand from here- Birmingham Cathedrals (St, Philip'(website hidden). Martin's, St. Chad's), Birmingham Symphony hall, Bullring and the New Street (plenty of shops over there), Odeon Cinema, National Sea Life Centre (meet the water dwellers), plenty of cafes it's all within a short walking distance.

Have a safe journey and enjoy your stay!

  • This was our first experience of using air bnb and whilst we were a little apprehensive about sharing accommodation with a host, we need not have been. Didzis was great! Really friendly and helpful.

The apartment is in a perfect location for shopping and a great night out in one of Birmingham's restaurants or pubs and clubs. It was a 10min walk into the main shopping area. We were able to park outside of the apartment on the street which is pay and display up until 6pm ini the evening, it is then free until 8am and best of all - free all day Sunday.

Highly recommend both Didzis as a host and the lovely spacious apartment.

  • I had such a lovely time staying at Didzis', I really couldn't have asked for anything more. The location is perfect (I wanted to be near New Street station for easy access to the NEC) with everything you could possibly need on your doorstep, the apartment is modern and clean with a huge bed and Didzis is the perfect host.

I was made to feel absolutely at home, provided with clean towels etc and the kitchen had what I needed to prepare food rather than spending lots eating out.

In short, I haven't got a bad word to say. Thank you Didzis for making it such an enjoyable experience!

  • Didzis is a totally lovely host. He is quick to respond, a great communicator, kind and helpful, responsive when I requested to change the check-in time (very kind of him), and keeps his place really clean! He is also friendly and great to chat to. He has a fab flat - it looks better than the photos. The bed is really comfy, he makes breakfast stuff/tea/coffee available to help yourself, and the shower is great. It is quiet and comfy and the blinds are good at keeping out the light in the morning (important in the lighter months!). What else can I say? The experience with Didzis was really great.

I'm a friendly person in my early 30-ties. I like traveling and meeting new people. I've been to quite a few countries in Europe. The most exotic trip- I managed to visit Japan in 2008. A good movie or a fantasy book is a treat for me (a fan of Tolkien). Pop music and some pieces of classical music is what I usually listen to, let's say Tiesto, Bocelli, Libera, Enya, Celine Dion - quite a mix. You can always mail or phone me to get in touch!
