Great food and wine.
Terrific local markets.
Relaxing and not overcrowded even during the peak season.

Well thought out accommodation with everything one could need (washing machine, fridge, kitchen etc). Would (email hidden) for an extended stay especially in summer with use of the pool. Lovely rural location and garden. Kate is English so absolutely no problem with communication. We especially loved their super friendly cat Charlie.
Arrived for a one night stop after rain filled day. Greeted by Andre who made us feel extremely welcome, even booking an evening meal at Franca's for us - fine and popular restaurant. Cottage is delightful, well equipped and in a lovely location. All the essentials were there, including fresh milk and home made jam. Beds firm and very comfortable - spiral staircase was too much for my mother, but not a problem as one of the bedrooms is down stairs. Fresh bread and croissants brought the next morning by Kate were the perfect start to our journey. Only sorry we were there such a short time.
We - that is my husband and our Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Capo - had a wonderful stay at Kate's B&B! It was ideal for us - in a lovely setting, quiet, innumerable possibilities to explore beautiful little French vilages, castlres and "grottes", to walk and enjoy nature. The cottage is exactly as described: charming, nicely decorated and cosy.
There is a nice sitting area outside wieth gorgeous views. Great place for dog owners. Our dog was excited to visit with Kate's to small doggies and he enjoyed lying on the lawn, getting his fur warmed by the sun.
We would have booked for another week right away had there be a possibility. But Kate's B&B is fully booked until the first weeks of September - which, of course, is no surprise. But we'll try again next year.
We loved staying at Kate and Andre's place. The cottage has everything you could ask for and Kate is a great hostess. She has lots of local knowledge and speaks English and French. The weather was terrible and we were still able to find things to do close by and further afield with advice from Kate. We embraced the opportunity o light the fire each night. The cottage is cosy and has beautiful views of the countryside. It really did feel like our home away from home.
This is truly a lovely cottage in a lovely rural setting. Kate was an excellent host, the house was well furnished and had everything we needed (including hair dryer and dish washer ...). It was lovely to build a fire in the fireplace and have fresh bread for breakfast and homemade jam ! My son (12 years) loved the animals (donkey, horse, cats, dog) and the ping pong table. It was too cool to swim, but the pool looks very inviting, and we would love to plan a trip back in the summer. Kate recommended nice places to eat nearby, and sites to visit. A very nice experience all around.
Kate and André were kind and generous hosts to us over the Easter week end. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside. The fridge was stocked with basic items when we arrived and Kate and André had thoughtfully left Easter eggs for the boys and a bottle of wine for me! With such hospitality we very quickly felt at home and the boys spent much of their time playing ping pong on the table provided in the courtyard. Thanks for a lovely week end and we will definitely be coming back to visit again.
