The Space

Petit flat with bathroom(12 square meter) in Harajuku. This is a small apartment but it's located in very convenient place, just 3 minutes walk from Harajuku station.(JR Yamate line), and 4 minutes walk from Meijijingu station.(Metro Chiyoda line). Takeshita street is just 1 way behind. You will never regret about the location.

You can use 1 bed & 1 futon, fridge, wash machine, shampoo, body soap, body wash towels, towels, hair dryer, kitchen goods(a pan, dishes, folks, spoons. chopsticks, cups) microwave, toaster, portable WiFi.

There is a famous restaurant called "Bills"as they serve the most delicious breakfast in the world is 5 minutes walk from here. For weekend, having breakfast at there would be difficult because there are a lot of people waiting. You can try it on weekday.

Basically, this room is for single person considering the room size, but if you can bear the tightness, 2 people can be accommodated.

  • Yumiko's apartment was perfect for our stay in Tokyo. It is in a great location and very close to the train station so it is very easy to get anywhere in Tokyo. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Yumiko was an excellent host and provided a lot of helpful information including very clear directions for getting to the apartment. We will definitely go back on our next trip to Tokyo.

  • Yumiko is a very kind host, we really appreciate her help. We were caught in a heavy rain the minute we arrived at the harajuku station. She kindly instructed us, and walked to the station with two umbrellas in the heavy rain, in case we need the umbrellas. We were deeply moved when we saw her, for she was completely wet due to the rain.
The room is lovely and clean, equipped with kitchen, shower, water heater, microwave, fridge, oven, air conditioning etc. Furthermore, Yumiko provided us with a well edited recommendation sheets for food, which helped us a lot. Also, the most important device: portable WiFi, is also provided.
Finally, I wanna thank her again, for her helpful consideration. The Japanese people are super nice.

  • Lovely little apartment, perfectly clean, perfect location and with everything we needed, including two umbrellas, thanks Yumiko!

  • The location of Yumiko's apartment is absolutely amazing! It is so damn close to Takeshita St and Harajuku Station. You could also stroll to Shibuya central if you wanted to. Lots of urban, youth oriented stores near by or chill at Yoyogi Park across the main road.
The apartment is small, but is the perfect amount of space for a solo traveller like myself. And it's equipped with everything you need too (Awesome aircon for the humidity, quick heating stove top). Her recommendation booklet is super handy.
Yumiko is always a quick message away and her instructions are very helpful and thorough. I also got an invitation to see a Japanese concert, something I wouldn't have experienced without the aid of Yumiko!
It's a great place to start my AirBnb venture.

  • Awesome location! Just a few steps from the lively Takeshita street and a few minutes from the station, extremely convenient. The studio is clean and well-provided. Yumiko always promptly answered questions and was very friendly throughout the whole stay. We had a great experience!

  • Yumiko's place was really cute and clean, it has all in the apartment. She was very kind and helpful for giving our tips for the amazing city. Also, for the location just superb for discovering the city and very convenient to connecting us to everywhere we want to go by the JR line or even on foot. All in all, we really enjoyed the stay and thx for your help Yumiko. For sure, we will come back again next time when we visit Tokyo.

  • Great location!! Very very convenient. Place is a bit tight… 2 Asian sizes is fine.

  • Yumiko's place is exactly what we expected and more.

On a stormy day in Tokyo, my wife and I realized we had arrived too late to get a train from the airport to the Harajuku station as we hoped. We picked up an "Airport limousine" bus (a very nice deal if you can't take public transport) to Shinjuku station. After that the trains between Shinjuku and Harajuku run pretty late. We got out and used (website hidden) maps to navigate to the flat, since we had trouble finding Yumiko's directions, which I misplaced. Even in the dark, in the pouring rain, this neighborhood is nice. You walk through a couple small streets and alley ways to the small gate and stairs which lead you to her door. This is a small utilitarian space. It has been decorated in a cute way. She has air conditioning and most importantly WiFi. We did not have a lot of international mobile data to spare, so Yumiko's little portable WiFi device saved us. Navigating around a city which speaks a different language than you in the pouring rain is stressful, but having reliable access to the internet helps a lot. It was perfect for finding places in our guide book, foursquare, and (website hidden) maps.

Right around her home there are some great places to eat including a tasty little ramen shop (who's name I have forgotten) and a coffee place named "Be a good neighbor cafe". Wander and poke in to the local places. This is the place to be in Tokyo in my opinion.

  • My friend and I have just stayed to Yumiko's place for a couple of days while in Tokyo. We have been in touch with Yumiko before arriving in her flat so that everything was prepared and well organized: we have much appreciated.
The flat is ideally located near transports and the so called very nice area Harajuku . It is also very closed to the crowded Takeshita street but the flat is very quiet.
Her place is very convenient, well furnished, very clean and a nice cocoon after a busy day in Tokyo!!
The only mitigated point regards with the bed: if you are tall like we are, it might be a bit challenging for a couple to nicely sleep. Yumiko has shared this information in her publication so this is not a bad surprise but rather a point to keep in mind.
    We definitely recommend her place.

  • Yumiko's place was exactly what we needed in Tokyo. We loved that the street was so quiet and yet right in the centre, making it easy to find and giving us plenty of places to eat, drink, shop and explore near by! Yumiko was really kind and went out of the way to check we were ok when we arrived.

About
I try to keep my room clean though it's sometimes not so. I don't much travel lately, but many people visit my place from over the world, so it's fun as if I am traveling without leaving Japan. My respected explorer is Yoshiharu Sekino. He was a doctor and explorer in that time when I knew him on TV. Since 1993, he started his journey from Africa where is said human was born and followed the human path. What I was impressed was he continued the journey only by human power. Sometimes he used vehicles but those vehicles run by human power, such as boats and road bikes. When I saw his great journey, my curiosity for abroad grew up.
