We are in a quiet residential neighborhood with easy public transportation connections to San Francisco or San Jose (SJC), CA via CalTrain.
We have a large back yard garden with 2 Weber charcoal grills and a gas grill and ample seating for guests.
Flying in, check San Francisco (SFO) and San Jose (SJC). We are 1/2 way between both and sometimes SJC is cheaper by far.
We are old hippies, travel junkies (70+ countries and counting), we have lived and worked on 4 continents and are still having fun and in love after 40 years together.
We are, of course, LGBT friendly.
And no stink'in Cleaning Fee! Who thought up this idea? Probably the same folks that charge for bags on airlines!
Interaction with Guests
I am always available to assist our guests.
It is a very quiet residential neighborhood.
The CalTrain Station is straight down James Street towards El Camino. It is exactly one mile. I am always willing to drive you there or pick you up
As the Jamaicans say, 'Respect man'.
My favorite rule to tell guests is about the Kitchen. "If you can find it, you can eat it."
Josh and Rosa were great hosts. The accommodations were as described. The neighborhood was pleasant and quiet. I highly recommend this place!
We had a delightful welcome and stay with Josh and Rosa. The space was exactly as described and clean. He had a cold breakfast for us we were comfortable using the kitchen. The neighborhood is just close enough to El Camino to be near shops and restaurants and just far enough away from El Camino to be QUIET! A beautiful area for walking in the evening.
Josh was a great host from the minute he picked me up at the CalTrain station. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and everything you need is generously provided. I walked all around the area, including to the nearby Whole Foods, Starbucks, etc. My trip was for work, and the wifi was reliable, the house was peaceful, and there were fresh berries and cherries, coffee, and other snacks to keep me going! Thanks for the great stay, Josh. I hope to stay with you again.
Josh made me feel very welcome. He was proactive in reaching out to me to make arrangements for my stay even while he was traveling himself. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Josh was great! The location was quiet & I really appreciated being able to do a load of laundry on the fly.
Josh was very welcoming, communicative, attentive, and considerate. My stay started with an introduction, a tour of the quarters, and a Ferrero Rocher on my pillow. The living space was very clean and had all of the desired amenities including bedding, towels, clothes storage, ample seating, deskspace, soap, shampoo, a private bathroom, etc. It was everything you'd expect at a hotel plus a homey feeling. The portion of the house for rent is separated by a door, which provides ample privacy, and thus the front door provides a private entrance. I found the listing description to be very accurate, and the neighborhood was very quiet, safe, and welcoming. The house is only 1.3 miles from downtown Redwood City, which I found to be a very comfortable walking distance. Uber rides are only $6-$7 if that's what you prefer.
