Studio unit located in a large garden. Very private with 2 Weber grills (charcoal) and ample seating for guests. Studio is remodeled, well appointed and with new AC unit. Off-street parking.

Small but well equipped kitchen with granite counter tops. A Keurig coffee maker with a selection of K-cups is provided. Full sized refrigerator, large microwave and 2 burner cook top. Queen sized bed, full bath (shower and tub) with blow dryer and toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). Towels, linens, soap, shampoo, sewing kit and more are provided.

The Kitchen is stocked with crackers, soups, chili, a full assortment of items for late night arrival. Breakfast cereals are provided and we will buy your favorite milk on request (normally, vanilla soy milk and 2% milk are stocked for each guest). If we know what kind of wine or beer or fruit juice smoothie you like, it will be waiting for you.

Screaming fast high speed WIFI, internet enabled 42" Samsung TV on which you can watch our Amazon Prime and Netflixs account (no TV cable service is provided), Blue-ray DVD player with a video library and a HDMI cable ready for your laptop to watch what you want form your own computer. There are 110 VAC & USB power ports built into bed headboard. Your own washer/dryer are just a few feet away.

If arriving by plane, check fares for both San Francisco (SFO) and San Jose (SJC). We are 16 miles from SFO and 23 miles from SJC and one may be cheaper.

Area maps supplied free. Quiet residential neighborhood with easy public transportation connections to San Francisco or San Jose via CalTrain with free shuttle service (I am the shuttle). Six miles from Stanford University. Grocery shopping near the CalTrain station including Whole Foods. Wide range of neighborhood restaurants.

Rosa & I are travel junkies (70+ countries and counting) -- we have lived and worked on 4 continents and are still having fun and in love after 40 years together. "Still crazy after all these years."

We are, of course, LGBT friendly.

And no stink'in Cleaning Fee! Who thought up this idea? Probably the same folks that charge for bags on airlines!

If you need more space look at our listing here:

The studio is on our 15,000 SF lot behind the detached garage.

You will have access to the deck and garden behind the studio. A space large enough to host a wedding reception.

I am always available to assist our guests. Other than that, we just stay out of your way.

Our neighborhood is quiet and clean.

CalTrain is 1 mile away, other than that we are like any other No. American city. We live in our cars. I can take you and pick you up at the CalTrain Station.

It is a very quiet neighborhood. (We have even had complaint s that it was too quiet to sleep.)

Perfect little house for a stay, business or pleasure. Our hosts were wonderful, and we appreciated all of the little, thoughtful details.

Repeat guest with another 5 star review. Josh's place is my first choice when I am working in the peninsula area.

Great spot in a quiet neighborhood. Less than a mile to downtown Redwood City. I was greeted personally by Josh and there was cheese, crackers, and wine in the studio. The garden was lovely, I wish I had time to sit outside and enjoy my coffee by the garden.

Absolutely terrific stay. Quiet, yet close to anything you'd need. Josh was great with communicating and explained where everything was in the place-- there's also a house tips and tricks in a blue folder. Would highly recommend to solo travelers or a couple.

Excellent spot in Redwood city. 15min walk from buses, Caltrain, grocery shops, movie theatre, restaurants. The hosts, Josh and Rosa, are very helpful and responsive. Their place is very private in the back of the main house. Several amenities make it super comfy - a small heater, towels, linens, full equipped kitchen with a stove and fridge. Bonus - a bookshelf full of interesting books! Totally recommend this place!
