Hi Deirdre,

A couple of very important points here, 1, normal check in is 2pm, you arrived at the resort at 11am. We had guests in the apartment with a baby who had a late check out, they did not check out until 11.45 am / midday, (they were supposed to depart by 11am), and our Housekeeping serviced the apartment as soon as they were able to gain access, i.e the previous group and baby departed, and re the large carpet spill, which was baby related from these previous guests (they did not advise us either), Housekeeping advised me, and after an immediate inspection myself, i immediately organised the carpet cleaning company to come and steam clean/deodorise, not only the carpet spill area, but the entire carpets in the apartment. During this time, you were downstairs calling us, demanding to be checked in. Due to your insistence on being checked in, our Housekeeping advised you of the carpet spill before you came in to the apartment, and we said that our carpet cleaning company would be coming around at 2pm to do a full steam cleaning and deodorising of all the carpets (not just the spill), at our cost, and Housekeeping brought you up to the apartment to view the spill, and you said this was OK, and that you still wanted to be checked in ASAP, despite the spill. During this time, while Housekeeping was in the apartment with you you also inspected the apartment with them, and Housekeeping advised me that you said you were happy. You requested to be checked in ASAP, despite the carpet spill, and our carpet cleaners turned up at 2pm, (they travelled from another part of town - and note this is absolutely excellent service on their part to be able to come at such short notice). The carpet cleaning company advised me that you turned them away on arrival, saying that you wanted to rest. But they would have made all the carpets absolutely perfect for you, and there was no mention of the work they did with the carpets through the entire apartment when you did allow them to come in the next day, With regards to cleanliness (your major issue being the carpets), you checked this with our Housekeeping and passed it OK, in the understanding the carpet cleaners were on their way. So this is extremely disappointing to read the way you have made a review about this. With regards to cleanliness, we made it very clear to you on check in that if you had any issues with anything to contact us and we would address the issue. We never once during your stay, received any comment or request for any other issue. With regards to the dining table, and chairs these are quite new (6 black Cavill luxury designer dining chairs, not displayed in the photos), and dont understand how you can say these are damaged or worn, also no mention was made about the new artworks on the walls (not in photos), we have not had any other adverse reviews about (website hidden) "missing kitchen equipment, pans etc", you clearly did not look for them as the apartments very large kitchen has many cupboards, and some are along the wall next to the laundry, and at any time you could have called us to ask us where they were, and there were no missing knobs on the (email hidden) bin bags for the bin, and roll, we provide an initial supply of these items, plus initial laundry, kitchen supplies etc. After the first initial supply, additional supplies can be purchased from the supermarket right downstairs.

I need to say, we do our utmost to service and keep our apartments very well maintained for the benefit and enjoyment of our guests, and in hindsight re your comments re cleanliness (focussing on carpets) we should not have allowed you to check in until our commercial carpet cleaners had been through and done a full steam cleaning and deodorising of all the carpets (not just the spill area). I actually only allowed you to be checked in because after a discussion with our Housekeeping, given your insistence to be checked in as soon as possible, it was decided to show you the spill, and for you to decide if you wanted to proceed with check in then or wait til afterwards, on the understanding the carpet cleaners would be there at 2pm (you checked in at 1pm). I was bemused to find out that you had turned the commercial carpet cleaners away when they arrived as arranged at 2pm that afternoon. Then i had to rearrange for them to come again at the earliest time they could come next, which was the following day.

With regards to price, you paid a very cheap price for your stay, and had you paid via the resort front desk, the price you paid would have been much higher, plus you would not have had the luxury furniture in the apartment, the Playstation 3, and other things we provide standard. We also gave you a very late check out of 6pm, on the day of your departure...

Then we find out via this review we have been made wrong for trying to provide the best service to you, allowing you to view carpet spill (which we did not cause, but tried our very best to get a commercial carpet steam cleaner in and managing to do this within 2 hours! - try that in your city and see how hard that is), and for you to decide re early check in, you having made the decision to go in, after saying you were OK with the spill etc), then another decision to turn our carpet cleaners away, and then a decision to negatively construe us publicly. Fair go please........
