We stayed two nights at aahPartment while we were in Wellington for my graduation. It is the PERFECT location, you could not ask for better - we were able to pop in and out as needed between keeping various appointments and meetings, not to mention attending the ceremony. The apartment is warm, comfortable and spacious, and surprisingly quiet for being so central. Also, the shower water pressure is amazing. Jon was prompt in greeting us with the key upon our arrival, and was very polite and clear in his orientation of the place, as well as flexible with the check out time (we needed to leave our bags there for the day because our flight was not until the afternoon).
Jon was helpful, he met us at the place and showed us around. the place is like he described and the location was amazing - two good sized bedrooms though one is an interior wall so no windows. Wellington is a town you can walk around in and Jon's place is in the centre. The rooms were good, though i would say the place needs a bit of a clean.
If you are thinking of visiting Wellington I'd say do it. What a welcoming friendly and vibrant city it is these days. Our apartment was perfectly located and served us very well. It is well appointed with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and all the gadgets worked. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Be prepared for some city sounds but that's why youre staying in the Cuba St area. It's about the nightlife. So I gladly recommend this apartment and would be happy to stay again. Thanks to our host.
I booked this for my family when they came to visit. The location is good and central, and it's not too noisy. We had a mix up about the check in time, but the cleaner was accommodating and helpful. However the property didn't have some of the homely touches that would have made it more comfortable - for instance, my mum commented that it was difficult to cook in the kitchen because there weren't many utensils. And I think it's in need of some TLC - it was looking a bit scruffy and run down. All in all it was adequate for our purpose, but we would have expected something better for the money.
Jon met us with the keys and made himself available via messaging or in person as any issues arose. He was wonderfully responsive and helped to make our stay a great success. The apartment was as described and marvellously located near the centre of everything in Wellington. It also had easy access to great public transit, shops, and more bars and restaurants than one could ever visit. We stayed for about ten weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Wellington! Highly recommended.
The place is great. I only have a few small concerns.
1. I had to contact the owner several times--including one just as boarding my flight across the Pacific--to get instructions on how to enter the apartment.
2. There is one interior bedroom with no windows to the outside, only to the living room. This room can get really stuffy. Could you please add a fan?
3. It can get loud at night on weekends, but that's part of the fun of being near Cuba St.
4. There's a noisy garbage truck that comes really early every morning.
Jon was very communicative and left detailed instructions on how to access the house, along with pictures that was very useful. He was quick to respond to my many queries and very accommodative of the infant in our group. The house itself was clean and is within 2 blocks of down town with cafes and shops, so the location is ideal. A covered car park in the middle of such prime location is an added bonus. Will definitely recommend to anyone.
