House - Entire home/apt · Neptune Street, Coogee, NSW 2034, Australia

The Space

Double-Room, Self-Contained:

Please note - I have specified a 2 night minimum but often allow people one night if I can manage the time for turnaround. Please message me.

We have a quiet, light, airy double room available. It is situated within our modern, family home. However, whilst we share the entrance to the property, your area is on its own level and has a fridge, microwave, kettle, tea and coffee making facilities etc but not stove or oven. There is also plenty of extra space for relaxing. You have your own bathroom, accessed from the terrace, which has both an indoor and outdoor shower. Your bedroom opens onto a beautiful, large terrace overlooking park and ocean. The bedroom is secure with a lockable door and there is an area under the house to access for storing luggage or items if required. There is a hairdryer in the apartment for your use during your stay.

Perfect Beach Location:

This is a perfect spot - only 50m walk to the famous Wylie's Baths - Coogee's ocean pool and cafe. Coogee beach is a beautiful example of one of Sydney's fabulous beaches - it is generally calm and has a year round life guard on duty so is reasonably safe. We are an easy 500m walk to over 50 shops and restaurants. Our street is interesting and busy during the day and very quiet at night. We are located right on the famous coastal walk that stretches from Bondi to Maroubra.

The city is 15 minutes drive away and buses leave Coogee to the city, Bondi Junction and Pagewood on a very regular basis. Our house is located about 5 minutes drive from University of New South Wales.

  • Me and my boyfriend loved our stay here, it was a perfect location in Coogee. The room contained everything that we needed. unfortunately it rained during our stay but if the sun was shining having the terrace would have been perfect .

  • We were both looking forward to staying at Nina's, whom we found to be pleasant and communicative in our pre dealings. Unfortunately the experience didn't match the promise. After flying up to Sydney, instructions to gain access were not precisely clear and as a result we were left out in the street pressing the wrong button. Having finally made contact with our host and being let in, I went to the toilet which unfortunately had no toilet paper. Very inconvenient to say the least. When we mentioned this to Nina the next day she got two toilet rolls then handed them over to me. One would have thought she would have placed them in the toilet herself. Went to bed exhausted only to find the bed making a noisy squeaking sound whenever we turned over (no…...not what readers might be thinking of, we were to tired and hot for that and would have been impossibly distracting and a real turn-off). Next morning, on examination, it turned out that half the slats under the mattress had fallen through the bed frame. They were to short for the frame. Restless sleep.Woken early in the morning by loud footsteps above our head from family members setting out pre dawn. Went to make a cup of tea only to find no teabags or coffee satchels. Milk in the fridge in a half used container. Looked inside the only two cups to find ingrained tea/coffee stains around the cup, not washed properly. Shower and toilet which were accessed by going outside the house (which we knew beforehand) was very small with no where to hang clothes on. The hand basin in the bathroom was so small for decent washing that we had to use the internal industrial kitchen sink in the main room. Our room was to warm to sleep in comfortably, and so we were forced to leave the door open for ventilation. Not exactly secure. Overall not a pleasant stay and we would not recommend Nina's to our friends.

  • A fabulous spot, ideally situated with views and easy access to the sea, either on Coogee Beach or in the tidal pools nearby. Also a wonderful coastal walk (or run) north to Bondi Beach with cafe's serving breakfast on the way.... The large
patio had comfortable seating and a barbeque, with shops and a choice of restaurants close-by. Good and compact facilities, a comfortable bed and very welcoming host. A fantastic week, thank you Nina!

  • I couldn't have been more please with my stay here. I was on the end of my trip which consisted of 14 days of extensive traveling around New Zealand and Australia. This was my last stop and can I just say I could not have ended my trip in a more suitable way. Nina was an amazing host!! Very accommodating every way! Thank you Nina, cheers, cheers, cheers....

  • Perfect place to stay in Coogee! Nina could not have been more helpful, the room was comfortable, clean and perfectly located. A plate of homemade cookies on arrival gives you an idea of how warm the welcome was. I have already recommended a stay here to more friends!

  • Nina was a welcoming and genuinely friendly host and had several books available for me to use. With a room located right along the beach and a short bus ride into the city, I found myself only coming back to sleep! She was kind enough to invite me with her family to watch the Naval fleet come into the harbor and had brownies waiting for me on my first day! I would recommend staying with Nina to anyone who wants to be in a serene environment and friendly home.

  • Lovely views of the ocean, a stone's throw from Wylie's Baths and a great starting point for the Coogee-Bondi walk. The perfect location for a beach weekend and Nina was a delightful host. Thank you!

  • My sister and I stayed here for three nights in September. It was close to the beach and the coastal walk - we took some lovely photos from the verandah of sunrise over coogee. The room was well sized for two people with everything you would need. Large TV, fridge, Wifi etc. We didn't meet Nina or her family while we were there but organizing entry to the apartment was simple and Nina contacted us a few times to make sure everything was ok. Overall we were very happy and will recommend it to friends and family.

  • Nina has a lovely place with great views over Coogee beach. Very relaxing! I didn't get to meet Nina but she was very prompt with her responses and gave very clear directions to the apartment - and the brownie was a very nice touch!
