Our private and secluded ‘Longbeach Clifftop Retreat’ is perched up high on the northern side of Batemans Bay - where the forest meets the sea!
Guests are welcome to spend time relaxing in the communal Clifftop Garden that provides sweeping views of Batemans Bay’s sparkling waters. An array of gloriously quiet and secluded coves are just minutes away from the property and Long Beach and Maloneys Beach are also within walking distance. The coastline here is perfect for safe swimming, fishing, boating, rock-pool exploration, exquisite sunsets or perhaps, just quiet contemplation.
A number of trails along the cliff-top that step down to the coves below can be reached within just a couple of minutes from our garden gate. Beau, our resident Belgian Shepherd will be very happy to greet you in the garden, but please keep Beau safe by closing both gates behind you.
The glorious Murramarang National Park and Marine Park with amazing sea-views is also within walking distance from the property and provides access to isolated, pristine beaches, amazing rock formations and abundant wildlife. To reach the entrance of the park, just pass through the gate at the rear of our garden, head left along the clifftop bush trails, down to Maloneys Beach and then along the sweeping coast line to reach the glorious rainforest and shoreline.
If you want to make a day of it, you'll need to pack water, something to eat and of course your bathers, lotion, etc, as there are no shops in the Park. If you forget yours, I can lend you backpacks with water and sunscreen, as well as provide a sumptuous lunch hamper for an additional cost (please provide 24 hours notice for this service).
You can also enjoy early Sunday morning Tai Chi at Maloneys Beach and there’s a small cafe that sells wine, beer, a basic supply of groceries, as well as newspapers, freshly-made croissants and bread on the weekends and the cafe is open Wednesday to Monday.
Batemans Bay and its many fine restaurants, cafes, takeaway outlets, shops and holiday attractions are only a 10 minute drive from the Retreat and the popular Mogo Zoo is less than a half-hour drive away.
I do hope you get the chance to enjoy this secluded and magical spot and look forward to your visit sometime very soon!

Whether your stay is for a romantic weekend getaway, a relaxing mid-week vacation, or for a longer family holiday of a week or more, our hope is that you will find time to connect with the abounding nature that inhabits this magical place and enjoy your time at our tranquil retreat, which is surrounded by tree and sea!

About the Host, Jaki
I enjoy art, music, good food, wine and conversation and of course, visiting beautiful, natural places, especially those that have a spiritual or historical significance. I'm concerned about our environment, endangered species (especially orangutans) and social justice. I enjoy meeting new people from here and around the world and helping students to improve their English speaking skills.
