It does have that retro 70's feel and it doesn't have an ocean view but for an easy and relaxed option for accommodation on Phillip Island, this is the place for you! Where you can relax and enjoy yourself instead of worrying about the children breaking the designer furniture.

With a big enclosed backyard and a 10 min (700m) walk to the beach in a lovely quiet and removed area from the hustle and bustle of Cowes...what more could you want?

Check In
  • We stayed at the Surfie's Shack for a week during the Easter holidays. We were quite surprised at the size of the house, which was well-stocked with everything from linen and bedding to a very well-maintained kitchen with ALL the cooking utensils and apparatus needed to feed a large family (including plastic plates/bowls/cups for kids). The back yard area was great, as there was a lot of room to play and the hammock was a hit! There was plenty of room for all our clothing in the wardrobes and drawers provided, and I was pleased to see the bathroom had a bath for the littlies too, which was beneficial to wash off sand after a day at the beach! Also, the water pressure throughout the house is constant, and the hot water system was able to deal with bathing several bodies one after the other, plus clothes washing and dish washing. The lounge was comfy, and the idea of supplying a media player instead of pay TV was brilliant! With the corner store and beaches within walking distance, and being central on the island to all attractions (we had an outing every day), the location was definitely ideal, plenty of parking space at the property, and a few streets off the main road for peace and quiet. We would love to stay again soon, thank you Michael and Natalie!

  • We stayed at the "shack" with our family of 6. We really enjoyed our "home" away from home. The kids loved having such a vast backyard to run around in and my husband absolutely loved the coffee machine and the wifi, I loved the fantastic array of books and magazines at our disposal! The location was great as we could walk to the beach and most attractions were an easy driving distance. We had everything we needed at a very affordable price! Thanks Michael and Natalie. You guys were great. We would love to stay again sometime!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Phillip Is. The beach down the end of the street was lovely with rocks to explore & safe areas to swim & lovely sunsets. We were there during the heat wave +40degrees & the Aircon at the shack was a relief as well as cooling off in the water. We loved the house, older but clean, spacious & all items thoughtfully provided (even coffee machine)- a great beach shack!! We will be back!!! Thanks again Michael & Natalie.

  • The shack is well set up, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is nicely equipped with new cookware and most things needed to cook a nice meal. The lounge area is large and roomy with plenty of room for a family with children to spread out do things without being in each other's way. A nice beach is only a short walk away. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

  • Great place for a family outing to the Philip Island. My children love the place and was glad to have so many toys to keep them occupied. The backyard space was a bonus with the the opportunity to lay in the hammock and enjoy the lazy afternoon. We will definitely recommend this lovely place to friends. Thank you for letting the lovely home to us, we really enjoy our time at the island.
