At the homestead called Hamborg, grandfather's old cottage stands in a beautiful, secluded meadow by Lake Örken. It offers a simple but close to nature accommodation close to the lake, swimming and fishing. Here you can experience total peace and silence far from neighbours.

A rowing boat is available to borrow and a short walk through the forest there is a nice swimming area with a small sandy beach.

There are beautiful surroundings for hiking in the forest or on the gravel roads.

The space
The cabin is without electricity, but some battery and solar cell lighting is available.

In the cabin there is a small stove with a hotplate where you can heat water or simple dishes. There are also a portable gas stove and a charcoal grill.

Basic equipment of household appliances is available as well as a cooler bag which is connected to a 12 volt battery, where a mobile phone also can be charged.
There is also a small root cellar for cold storage. A 15 liter canister of drinking water is also provided.

There is a double bed with duvets and pillows. Own sleeping clothes needs to be brought or borrowed at a cost of SEK 50.

Nearby there is an outhouse with a composting toilet for the cottage's guests.
If you would like to take a shower or use a flush toilet you are welcome to our newly renoveted granary 2km from the cabin.

Cleaning with a vaccumcleaner and if necessary, drying the floor takes place on departure.

Lidboholm's farm is a family-owned farm in the heart of Småland at Lake Örken. We do land and forestry as well as rent out houses and apartments for year-round accommodation and holidays. Us as you will be in contact with is Elin and Erik and we live at the farm's headquarters and any of us are always at hand.
