The space
This is glamping at its finest! As you pull onto our property, you'll see a sign directing you towards Silver Sparrow Airstream, down a private driveway to the right. As you enter the clearing, you'll find the Airstream and deck, hot tub, fireplace, and hammocks all arranged in a welcoming circle surrounded by towering pine trees, giving you privacy and relaxation in a beautiful natural setting.
*The road is visible from our property, as is our sister property, the Whiskeyjack A-frame. We are in a cabin community and not in a totally secluded forest, although the amount of trees surrounding the Airstream provide a lovely sense of calm. We are not directly on Lake Cle Elum - we are within driving distance. Please be aware that you will be able to see the neighbor's house over the fence, and will hear some road noise during the busy season. If you are bringing a pet, we recommend you bring a line to attach them too, if you are concerned about them wandering through the property.
Inside the Airstream, you'll find a queen bed, panoramic windows, projector and movie screen, loveseat, dining table, kitchenette, and full-size bathroom. The bathroom has a dry-flush Laveo toilet that is very easy to use - more information is provided in the guestbook. Cooking options include a hot plate (with pots and pans) and a full size grill!
The Airstream is directly connected to power and to water from our own well, so you will have no trouble accessing all the utilities you need! We also have an instant water heater, so you will have hot water within about 10 seconds of turning on the tap.

The interior conveniently combines the charming living area with the kitchenette and dining area to create a contemporary setting for the ideal stay. Many windows allow for plenty of natural light to illuminate the space, and natural wood elements create a pleasant ambiance.
Step out and take in the beauty of the outdoors while relaxing in the luxury hot tub, enjoy an al fresco meal, read a book in the double swing chair or star-gaze from the snug hammocks! You'll love sitting around the fire at night, surrounded by twinkle lights and enjoying easy conversation in the comfortable Adirondack chairs.

Distance: 1.2 miles – About 4 minutes by car
- Turn right out of the driveway onto Salmon La Sac Rd.
- Drive 0.9 miles south.
- Turn right onto Lake Cabins Rd (watch for the green street sign).
- Drive 0.3 miles until you reach the Speelyi Beach Day Use Area.
- Park in designated spots near the lake access.

The neighborhood
Overview
The beautiful Airstream is located in a quiet forested rural neighborhood right next to Lake Cle Elum (we get private beach access through our cabin community!). It offers a picturesque retreat close to the charming small towns of Roslyn and Cle Elum, which have beautiful shops, restaurants, bars, a distillery, and sports rentals.
Roslyn, in particular, is known for its ties to the popular television series "Northern Exposure." Visitors can stroll through its streets and experience the small-town charm that made it famous. Make sure to visit our personal favorite restaurants: for dinner, the Roslyn Mexican Grill, featuring incredible "pre-Hispanic cuisine," and for breakfast or lunch, the wonderful Red Bird Cafe. Don't miss Basecamp, a perfect spot to grab a coffee and browse their amazing selection of books, games, and gifts!
Surrounded by stunning mountain peaks, lush forests, and crystal-clear lakes, Ronald is an ideal base camp for exploring the natural beauty of the area. Hiking enthusiasts will be thrilled by the many trails that wind through the nearby wilderness, offering breathtaking views and opportunities to connect with nature. We recommend arriving by car as it will give you the freedom to explore and enjoy the beautiful mountain and lake area around our property. As you are already aware, we offer free parking at the Airstream.

Follow the sign mounted at the fork in the driveway - Silver Sparrow is located down the driveway to the right. Guests enjoy their own private forest clearing and glamping site! We do have a sister airbnb on the property, the Whiskeyjack A-frame, so you may notice other cars and guests on the property using their separate entrance. We ask that all guests be respectful of others while enjoying this beautiful forested space.
