Independent villa on two levels, in quiet area. Outdoor patio, living room, kitchen and first floor large master bedroom with private bathroom with window
It's not clearly advertised that it is a business and Bruno is just the owner, not the host.
He was slow giving me information about my stay on booking.
Then I received an email from Bruno asking for money for a deposit, although this is against Air BnB policy, after many emails he still insisted on it. I had to contact Air BnB customer service, they said he had agreed not to request this payment when I arrive, although his worker there insisted on my credit card details for the deposit - I did not want to waste more international calls and effort to Air BnB to tell him to honour the agreement as agreed - so reluctantly gave my credit card details.
We arrived and was told, against the listing that there was no WIFI? I had booked this specific apartment to do work in - the host merely said it hadn't been working for a week? Then he should have told me this before booking and offered me a discount for the inconvenience, or let me choose an alternative - I was offered neither! I had to use my mobile phone dial up which cost me €70 over the duration of my stay.
We arrived and the apartment was sub zero temperature, uncomfortably cold! We told the worker there, and he merely said it would warm up tonight? That meant we would have to be in the apartment from 2pm - 8pm (6 hours) in freezing cold apartment. It was obvious the heating hadn't been on in that room for weeks....
After two hours in this house, we called the worker of the apartments and asked for a small fan heater to keep us warm until the heater turns on in the evening - they declined and said "most people are sightseeing so not at home, so wouldn't feel the cold" Awful service, and even Bruno was there and didn't understand English or offer an alternative room or a heater, and didn't seem bothered by this?
In the end we called up at 7.30pm as the heating didn't come on as had been told, they had to fix it - eventually by 9pm it was getting warm, we still needed to spend time under the duvet in bed as it was too cold.
These three issues (deposit, no wifi, no heating on first day) overall contributed to very poor service.
Still no apology, discount, or level of service expected from an apartment that I paid €200 more than alternatives that I'm sure would have had wifi and heating as described.
Mr. Andrew say to you about your comment . 1 ) call me as " owner " and not as a host you do not believe that it was , for me, an offense. I prefer to be the owner and no host ! !2 ) I did not think that you, in the book a holiday home, you thought of going to a charity house that did not have to earn anything and that he did not for business but for hobby! ! 3 ) I inform you that you paid 78 Euro per night for a villa in the center of Rome with accessories and finishings of 4 stars and then you could not get to have the services of the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Rome which costs 500.00 € per night ! ! you also inform you that at the Grand Hotel Excelsior to take you to Termini Station after your check-out they charge you € 100.00 ................ and we brought you free with a mercedes blue ! ! 4) the day of your check in at Rome there were 18 ° c . The apartment had just been released in the morning from a customer who had stayed for 7 days and who had never complained of the temperature of the house ! ! ! 5) All apartments are equipped with a programmable thermostat that starts automatically when the temperature drops below 21 ° C at 15:00 when I "owner" with Andrea (that's just my employee and not the host ) we came to control the temperature build-up we came to control the temperature build-up we realized that you were exaggerated , and that was good in the house. 6) When you have booked on airbnb conditions is provided (you can go and watch this!) That the wi fi is not included in the price and who wants to pay 3.00 euro for day, then and you would have solved the whole problem!!! Finally we advise you to report immediately the next time your problems to give a chance to solve them during their stay. After it is useless but it is only polemic Free! I really hope not to have more in the future, fake guests like you. In our residence we should write a sign out front that we do not accept clients beggars, I hope you do not either. However, we will talk with the administration of airbnb to tell also that despite all these complaints you have taken advantage of Andrea free to go to the termini. We invite you in the future not to book more in our structure neither you nor anyone like you. In spite of all we wish you a Happy 2014. The Owner Bruno
