About this listing
We're located in a good neighbourhood. To our front is Four Seasons and the Intercontinental. Behind us is Ayana. We're a simple place. Balinese thatched roof, private pool, tidy bedrooms, a tropical abode near the beach. A holiday home.
Our villas are located on the hill right above the Four Season's resort. From our reception area, you can see the sands of Jimbaran bay. Our villas enjoy tremendous privacy and close proximity to all major beaches and shopping districts in Bali.
Kuta beach is 15 minutes away, offering something for everyone; world class shopping, dining and entertainment for young and old any time of the day or night.
Our three bedroom pool villa is large and comfortable. This villa comes with private dining area, open-air kitchen, swimming pool and bale. Our guests enjoy the quiet privacy of the location, the landscaped gardens, and the close proximity to Jimbaran beach.
Guests are just a short stroll to the beach and our neighborhood is right across from the Four Seasons resort. The neighborhood is safe and picturesque, most of the properties are vacation properties and villas. You'll pass by some really adventurous tropical landscaping and architecture on the way to the beach.
Jimbaran beach is a fine 8km stretch of golden yellow sand that goes all the way to the airport. Our beach community is famous for the fresh seafood BBQ. At dinner time, tables pop up all over the sand as seaside restaurants prepare fresh fish, shrimp and lobster for guests. All at pretty affordable prices.
Our area is a nice mix of authentic Balinese village life with comfortable/stylish modern amenities. There's traditional village markets, temple ceremonies and a large seafood market right on the beach. It's home to three large luxury hotels including the Four Seasons, Intercontinental, and Ayana. Shopping and dining are easy, there's a boutique mall within walking distance with fashion boutiques, restaurants, and massage. We're located about 15 mins from Kuta and 20 min to Seminyak.
The place is 100% yours. You want privacy, this is it. The beach is a 10 minute walk downhill. There's a wide selection of restaurants in the Pantai Muaya area. Including some really good seafood restaurants.
We'll be there to check you in and make sure you arrive comfortably. Feel free to ask us questions, we're here to make sure your stay is comfortable and good.
Jimbaran has great seafood grills, and is a nice clean beach. Good for long strolls and admiring the incoming planes at the airport. We have some destination bars, great restaurants, local fish market, and some other great tips. Ask.
We recommend hiring a car/driver. Or motorbikes for the more adventurous. Its a nominal cost for either. Taxis are cheap and plentiful in the area, being right near some major 5-star hotels.
Everything. The villa is yours.
Interaction with Guests
We will be there to check you in, help arrange transportation, give you an orientation to the neighbourhood. If you need any assistance, we'll help. If you need a hug, we can give you one as well.
Some guests want privacy and do their own thing, we are pretty good at sensing that and we'll leave you to enjoy the villa.
Some guests want to hang out and have a look around the hood. We have been known to have drinks, lunch and dinner with guests. Sometimes we pay the bill, sometimes our guests pay the bill, sometimes we split.
Our area is awesome. Let me tell you about it: We have shady streets lined with trees, and sandy beaches, quaint boutiques, world-class beach clubs & destination bars. You're a 5 minute walk to the beach. Four Seasons is right in front of us. They have a nice beach club, you can get 1/2 price drinks at sunset, go to the beach and watch airplanes land at the airport. We have Jimbaran Corner, it's like a boutique mall with good restaurants and shops. We go there often for lunch. We have Menega Cafe, simply one of the best fish grills in Bali. Seafood dinner for six adults is around $60. All our guests love it. There's a hip new fusion restaurant that does tapas with local organic food. That's called Cuca. They charge more like $60/person. If you like El Bulli, French Laundry, Les Amis, Mozaic, you'll probably like that place. Our beach is cool because it's not over-crowded with tourists. There's surf for beginners, lots of beach lounges, some good pizzas places and a mellow, relaxing vibe.
No public transport. We suggest hiring a car/driver for the day if you want to explore. Otherwise, it's not impractical to walk to the beach & markets. If you need assistance, we can help organise your transportation: a rental car, motorbike, horse, or camel.
Not too many rules. Respect the villa, respect the staff, let us know if something is not quite right and we'll do our best to get it fixed. Bali is slow. Please have moderate expectations in regards to "efficiency".
Our family spend quite a good time there. Staffs in the villa are very helpful and enthusiastic. The villa is close to the beach, just about 15 minutes walk. And there are also some small markets nearby, very convenient. Staffs are stay near the villa all day to keep safety and bring help. Even the villa is near the road it is still very quite at night.
Jing and Wayana met us at the villa on our day of arrival and we felt very welcome. We did not stay at the original property we booked and there was a last minute change due to damage sustained by weather. Our hosts offered a different property which we accepted and enjoyed.

About the Host, Jing And Wayana
Bali-fornia: Jing is from California and Wayana is from Bali. Our family loves travel, our island, and our doors are open to fun-loving travellers.
Hi there. I worked at Airbnb for Indonesia market development and community management. I host professionally on Airbnb now and have a hospitality management business.
I studied at Berkeley and came out to the real world with an engineering degree in the dot-com crash of 2000. I worked in a nuclear physics lab, wrote C++ code, and then I took off to travel the world for two years, across Asia and Latin America. When I came to Bali, I stopped traveling. Bali was my new home. I met the perfect girl, she was Balinese and very pretty. I took her to dinner and missed my flight. I ended up staying on the island.

Jing and I have been married since 2007 and we have a young daughter Eka and another child on the way. Just ask and we'll be happy to introduce the hidden beaches, underground parties and off-the-beaten path things to see/do in Bali. We hope you'll share a few interesting tid-bits about yourselves as well.
Our favourite thing about hosting is getting the feeling of traveling without leaving Bali. Getting to experience a guest's culture and background is something we enjoy a lot. We make a point to meet each guest and get to know them a bit. Each guest is different and unique, we try 'feel' what you're in the mood for and go from there.
