  • The studio is well located, in a peaceful area near the train station (about 10 minutes by foot). We had a great time in Shin-Koiwa and Mitsuyo was very helpful, showing us everything. The studio in itself was not big but was cosy and perfect for a short stay.

The first night we ate with Mitsuyo at her favorite okonomiyaki restaurant near the train station, it was delicious.

We definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Tokyo!

  • Mitsuyo was an absolutely fantastic host. She was incredibly helpful, she assisted us in obtaining tickets for sumo, helped us with lost luggage and too many other things to get into. Her apartment was exactly the size we needed and very clean and modern, I would recommend this host to anyone visiting the Tokyo area and would definitely stay again

    Thanks Mitsuyo!

  • The property I stayed hosted by Mitsuyo-san was very modern, clean apartment unit. It was just about 3~4 minutes walk from a newly opened super market and 5~6 minutes walk from 24 hours supermarkets and convenient stores. It is about 10 minutes walk from the train station. It is right next to a greenbelt-like park along a creek. I realized many of the trees along the creek were Sakura (cherry blossom) so it must be gorgeous if you were there first week of April. The neighborhood was filled with restaurants and interesting shops. This is ideal place to stay if you would like to have Tokyo's "Shitamachi" experience. Mitsuyo-san was very prompt to answer my questions and requests. I rented a portable WiFi hotspot from her and it saved me a lot since there were no free WiFi in Japan for foreign iPhone! Narita Airport had a free WiFi, but that seems to be the only place where you can get WiFi in Japan. Anyway, it was pleasant stay at her property. Thank you Mitsuyo-san.

  • This was our first trip to Japan and using AirBnB. The experience was great on both counts. Mitsuyo is a charming host and spent a lot of time and energy showing us the apartment and then the local area. She made sure we could find our way back to the apartment through the unfamiliar streets and showed us local amenities. She rented us a portable wi-fi which was invaluable in going around Tokyo and later in Kyoto, Nara and Shizuoka. We arranged to meet up for coffee at Tokyo station on our was back to Haneda Airport for our flight to return the wi-fi device. Not only that, she recommended a selection of ekiben for our evening meal so that we could eat at the airport and then sleep on the flight without being disturbed. The apartment is small but perfectly suitable. She took time to show us how to operate each appliance as the instructions were in japanese. She is a very considerate and charming host.

About
Hello! Welcome to my new condo! I was born in Tokyo and never lived abroad. In 2012 when I traveled 4 months in Europe, I imagined that I could support something for travelers to Japan, that was the first trigger to start hosting through Airbnb since Sept. 2012. My ideal style is to make spaces for people in relaxed, cosy, friendly, harmonized and sophisticated atmosphere. Hope you engage in my new condo and enhance my hospitality! -------------- I'm supporting overseas travelers and connect people to culture, between two different congregate roots. The reason why I started Airbnb in September 2012 was that I really wanted to share the nice building of my apartment with other members as I really noticed "I LOVE MY HOUSE". In the end, it was true. The joyful people who are coming to my place really love my place and have both entertained and precious time because I love my house, too! I'm really honored to host people who are coincidentally scheduled to come all the way from Europe, America, Australia and other western and Asian counties, beyond the scale of my own private family and friends. This is the end of the story that I come back from a round trip to Europe in 2012, I noticed good aspects laid in both Europe and Japan, and I rebuilt my perspective to my own country. I really appraised Japan's total value very high. One important request from my side is please just take a careful support to my house as I respect my place. The (paper) walls and (soft wood paper) floors are very easily scratched and detracted, and it's quite a lot to be incurred even for a small damage made after you leave. Again, please make sure you pay attention to them more than hotels. Have fun and a relaxed stay! Mitsuyo February 5, 2013
