We spent a wonderful two days at Buddha Peace Place. The location and views were fabulous. We were struck by Bimla's warmth and hospitality. We felt we were spending time with family. It was a super Airbnb experience.
Bimla is a beautiful soul and attentive host. Her home is a sacred place, deeply peaceful and soothing. It was the perfect home base for my wife and I who were in Sedona to celebrate turning 50 and being together for 25 years. We loved the glorious sunrises and sunsets from the porch. On our last day a hummingbird flew in the house for a brief visit. Be sure to hike the Brins Mesa trail just minutes away. Heavenly. And of course, the vortexes. Beyond words. Many, many thanks to Bimla, her home and magical Sedona.
Bimmy's place was magical. So close to town yet carefully secluded in the mountains in a wooded area above Sedona. Bimmy's house blended so well with the surroundings and had magnificent views from every possible angle. You can actually enjoy the energy of Sedona without to leave her house. Her friendly welcome and her genuine interest in making sure her guests find what they're seeking made Bimmy the perfect hostess. i easily could have stayed a week in her house. I felt right at home and found her dog Sobe to be a perfect companion for 6 mile hike into West Fork.
My husband and I decided to vacation in Sedona for our 30 year anniversary. In the past we have stayed at The Enchantment Resort but wanted to visit the city a little bit different this time. First off we were met by our wonderful host Bimla, who graciously showed us to our master bedroom, where a vase of red roses and a bottle of wine awaited us. We were so fortunate to arrive just as the sun was setting. The view off the deck was breath taking, because we truly were located at the highest point in the city. After absorbing the beautiful sunset with all its spectacular colors we were given a folder with all the local restaurants and sights to see. From our past visits to Sedona, we knew about most of the touristy spots and vortexes. Our host was so in tune... She and her daughter graciously took us on some of the most spectacular hikes that only (some) of the locals know about. WOW WOW WOW.
I have to say, this trip we experienced Sedona not through the vortexes of particular sights but through the essence of the people and the spirit of the city. I have never felt more connected... Bimla was able to provide a spiritual vortex of her own to our journey for which we will be forever grateful. Thank you Bimla!
To be noted: I have knees that don't like to cooperate with hiking and climbing. After an extended day of use they tend to swell and become quite painful. Bimla is a practitioner of a healing light therapy. She performed a healing session on my knees the after our first hike. I felt no swelling and pain as I normally would and I was able to go out the next day for another hike! AMAZING!!! Being a student in the Healing Arts I was startled at how successful this treatment was for me. Another WOW moment!
Bimla does have one of the most beautiful houses in Sedona; the view is one of the reasons to stay there. The other reason is the host! Bimla makes you feel almost like a roommate, even though she appreciates her privacy and as a guest you will have your privacy with your own room and bathroom. Lovely dog and cat wandering around the house (and beware, the cat does not give any allergic reactions!) as a perk.
We had a wonderful time at Bimla's b&b. She lives on top of a hill, steps away from a 360 degree view of Sedona. Her home is calm and spiritual and welcoming. At night you can see a sky full of stars, including the Milky Way. Bimla wants you to feel at home - this is really much more of a home than an "inn". She is generous and helpful. Her advice on where to go and what to do given our time constraints and our interests was excellent.
Bimla is an amazingly sweet host with a beautiful place. She truly makes you feel at home and comfortable. The pictures don't do the views justice. It's a central location and yet being on a hill it feels as if you are away from all the city life and you could spend hours on the porch getting lost in the beauty of Sedona. When I return to Sedona I hope to stay here again.
We stayed at Bimla's sanctuary for 3 days in Oct 2013...what a terrific experience! Her place is gorgeously perched on the side of the Red Rocks, 2 mins from the main strip in Sedona. We stayed in the upstairs room and loved falling asleep to the gentle wind chimes and even slept outside on the deck one night under the stars.
Would definitely recommend a stay at Bimla's, she a kindred spirit.
This was my first B&B experience and I was lucky to stay at Bimla's. Not only the view from her house was wonderful but also meeting Bimla was something I will cherish. This added a lot to my stay in Sedona. She is very caring and helpful and yes, all the good reviews here are true. I wish I had more days in Sedona!
Bimla was absolutely amazing.
We originally came to Sedona to relax but in the process realized that in order to relax you have to let go. And we did just that.
We stayed in the master suite but ended up spending most of our time outside in the hot tub and under the stars. In fact, we were so comfortable one night we fell asleep outside.
My advice is to follow Bimla's advice. She knows the ins-n-outs of Sedona and if you have any questions she responds quickly.
It's often in life that we feel that those we meet are strangers yet when we met Bimla it was as if we were re-connecting with a dear friend we hadn't seen in a while.
When we go to Sedona again we will be back and stay with Bimla much longer.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
