  • This was a great place for our weekend vacation. The place was adorable and perfectly situated on the lake. Very peaceful, quiet and clean. Katherine was very helpful with suggestions for everything we wanted to do, and the house is very close driving distance to downtown Victoria. We will return.

  • Katherine was wonderful as was her place, a truly great host. Lovely setting on the lake with all the amenities and plenty of room. I would highly recommend staying here especially if you want to be close to the city but relish in the outdoors.

  • We loved our experience of staying at Prospect Lake. The place was beautiful and serene just as I had hoped. The drive up itself begins to relax you. The hot tub was perfect. The apartment was nice, clean and cozy. I especially enjoyed the little bed nook and the lake views through the entire house.

  • We stayed here over Christmas holidays. It was perfect. Right on the water with lovely running trails nearby. I would go for a run and then soak in the hot tub looking at the lake while reading a book. The place was very clean and Katherine had thought of everything! We were so impressed!!!! I want to stay again.

  • This is an awesome place. Beautiful lakeside living close to downtown Victoria. You'll want to have a car, a good book, a bottle of wine and some good coffee. Let the relaxation begin!

  • Katherine's place was the perfect getaway for our honeymoon in Victoria. It's secluded, peaceful, cozy and beautiful. We loved having this sweet place to come home to after a day of adventuring. We relaxed in the hot tub and had a little fire down by the lake one night. We even bought some free range eggs from the neighbors roadside stand.

Katherine was friendly and her house had everything we needed. She even included a little bottle of bubbly, some chocolates and cheese and crackers. Wonderful! We highly recommend this place! (Bonus points for being near the Butchart Gardens.)

  • AMAZING PLACE!!! I stayed here for a few days for my wedding, and the experience was just perfect!

Starting with the beautiful location, we had the luck to enjoy this peaceful and wonderful spot and feel completely disconnected during such a stressful time.

The house was nicely decorated and every detail was taken care of, making our stay completely easy and worry-free. It never felt like a hotel or a b&b, but rather more like a home right from the beginning.

My favourites - Having coffee on the deck enjoying the lake views, the fantastic outdoor jacuzzi, and the cozy bedroom!

And finally, our host Katherine was fantastic! From the first moment she was incredibly kind, helpful and accommodating with any questions or request we had to make our stay extra special. We can't thank her enough for making this such a special part of our wedding!!!

  • Wow, this was one of the best experiences we've ever had on aibnb...You arrive at this Gorgeous Lakefront Home where you have the entire downstairs....see a warming basket of things Kathy has left especially for you...maybe rest in the snuggly nook where the Queen bed is (sooo comfy!) and wander on out to the hot tub, grill, or out onto the deck right on the lake where there's a canoe and chairs. Kathy is an extremely inspiring, lovely and knowledgeable hostess....you'll leave feeling much more deeply rested and like you've met one of the finest human beings on the planet. Not bad for a few days spent on once of the most beautiful areas of this very beautiful island!
Definitely upscale, but down-to-earth. Highly recommended!
We hope to be able to do this again : )

  • Oh my goodness!! This place is a definite must. We found absolute rest, peace, and seclusion. There is something for everyone here: swimming, canoeing, hiking, sunbathing (just don't fall asleep on the floating dock...), hot tub, and bird watching; not to mention that shopping is only 15 minutes away. We could not have enjoyed our time any more than we did other than by being able to stay a whole lot longer. Kathy is a perfect hostess and has taken care of so many details to make any stay perfect. And what a delight to chat with her. We cannot wait to return next year.

  • Katherine was super nice and very helpful when we asked about nearby (and far away) cities to visit. She had a good grasp of the areas and knew where to find great restaurants and side points of interest. The place we stayed was below her home and super clean, and updated very tastefully decorated. The hot tub outside was always on and ready to go. The dock was complete with canoes and chairs to just sit and watch other boats go by. We had a great time!

About
Born and raised in Alberta, I am currently living near Victoria BC, on the shores of Prospect Lake. I am very active, curious, have travelled as far away as Mongolia, love animals and nature. A farm and ranch girl all my life, I have been self employed (farming and ranching) for the best part of 20 years. I am currently enjoying a bit of a change of scenery on the west coast where I am indulging my love of all things outdoors. I consider my biggest asset to be my sense of humour and I love a good cup of coffee. With cream.
