Todd and Annette were wonderful hosts! The casita was exactly as described, extremely comfortable, and my two daughters, one year old grandson and I were very happy with the space. The bed was very comfortable, and the convertible futon was extremely comfortable as well. There were bottles of water waiting in the refrigerator, coffee and creamer available, and a beautiful flat screen tv with a dvd player as well! The pool was gorgeous and taking a morning dip with the birds singing in the beautiful surrounding landscape was spiritually refreshing. This area is not close to downtown, which was exactly what we wanted. Only about a 15 minute drive to downtown with wonderful restaurants and coffee shops. This Casita is an incredible bargain! I would definitely stay there again.
Private, peaceful, beautiful. Listing was very accurate. Everything you could want. My husband and I appreciated how clean it was and all the extra touches Annette and Todd made to make our honeymoon stay special. This included a wedding card, red flowers in a vase, champagne with flutes, cheese and crackers. They had snacks for us like cookies and almonds and coffee and tea, and water. We felt like we got 'the honeymoon suite'! :) They were very welcoming, and available to us, but we barely saw them. Which was exactly what we wanted. This visit was in late April- pool was very clean, but quite chilly. Weather was in high 80's. We heard coyotes howling our first night and experienced a rain storm. Both of which we really enjoyed. We took advantage of Saguaro National Park and learned of desert creatures at the Desert Museum. All in all, a great stay!
Our stay at Todd & Annette's private desert guesthome was perfect. The casita was clean and perfectly maintained, the neighborhood was serene, and the pool was a wonderful place to unwind after long days hiking many of Tucson's scenic trails. Also, the Sam Adams waiting for us in the fridge was a fantastic touch for this Boston traveler. 10/10, would recommend and would definitely stay again.
This place is fantastic and a real bargain, it was one of our favourite places we stayed in America and also the cheapest!
Todd and Annette were really friendly and helpful and came for a chat the evening we arrived. Everything in the casita worked perfectly and it was a really comfortable place to stay. The pool was great, our 10 year old son particularly liked the springboard for diving, though the night time drop in dessert night temperatures meant it was alarmingly cold in the morning! As Tucson is so warm and sunny a cold pool was a really good thing.
We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Annette and Todd's casita. It is in a beautiful and quiet desert setting. Karla enjoyed her coffee outdoors each morning while listening to birds, and spotted a woodpecker and a cottontail rabbit nearby as well. There was a Saturday farmer's market down the road, and we enjoyed a delicious salad made from produce we picked up there. The casita is well equipped, and Annette kindly sent over salt and pepper when we got ready to make our dinner and discovered at the last minute we forgot to bring any. Saguaro National Park (East side) and Colossal Cave are not far at all. We were delighted to meet and chat with Annette and Todd one afternoon when they were working around the pool area. They are warm and accommodating hosts, and we look forward to staying with them again on future visits to Tucson.
We had a great time. The place was exactly as we thought. The pool was clean and beautiful. The area was quiet, fun and close to he hiking we wanted. It was perfect for a
Spring break vacation.
We had a wonderful stay! Todd & Annette were very accommodating and friendly. The casita is perfect for two, and the setting couldn't be better. There were refreshments and munchies when we arrived, and we felt very much at home during the stay. We recommend their casita to all looking to visit Tucson. We plan on staying again in the future...Jeff & Autumn
