Soak up the view during your stay.
Stay on the farm in the main guest house built in the late 1800's. Soak in the activity of the farm from your front row view of the fields, horses will pass the yard on the way to the training track daily. This elegant historic home is a one of a kind opportunity for your stay in Baltimore county. Sorry no pets or emotional service animals. Ask about The Cottage or Merrywell house if traveling with dogs. Together the three properties can accomodate 16 .

The space
The farm guest house is central to the farms layout. We hope you choose to stay with us for its contemplative quiet space where relaxing among nature and horses takes centerstage. You will have a front row seat to view the activity of the surrounding barns and fields from an outside porch or yard. There are no sectional sofas or big screen tv's in our historic guest house. However country elegance and eclectic furnishings will make for a memorable stay and good nights sleep on the farm. Good internet for streaming services from your private device or watch Internet TV in the 1950's kitchen diner wing. Small Sunday gatherings of 20 or less will be considered for an additional fee. Horses will pass the yard on the track and in the fields along the driveway. Sorry no pets or emotional service animals.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole house and front yard. For the safetly of our riders we ask guests to avoid the one walkway to the awning porch during track training hours normally Monday - Saturday 12:20 - 2:00 additional sidewalk to front of house is always open. Merryland Farm is one of multiple Long Green Valley Conserved Properties in this pastoral farming community. If you love wide open space, dark skies and sounds of nature you will fit right in on the farm. Horse Barns are off limits but farm tours with a farm employee are available with notice.

Other things to note
The care and safety of the horses and riders is utmost importance to the workings of the farm. Excessive noise and startling movements are probibited between noon and three on the driveway and front yard of the house to assure young horses and riders safely egress to and from the barns. No feeding horses or entering fields or barns.
