The space

Sharing the house located on Duong Ba Trac Street, 8 District BUT next too District 1 District 4 District 5, District 7 about 1 km. Easy to take bus number 152 to go Ben Thah bus stop just 10 minutes as well as to airport. Many good and cheap serviced. It is convenient to go downtown and china town without jam traffic.
The rooms are very nice with decoration.
About the house:
5 floors and terrace
3 rooms for rent
Fully furnished
Shared kitchen, dinning room, terrace, washing machine... You can use anything you want.
Newly built, secure, clean, quiet and airy area, near Trung Son and Phu My Hung District 1, 4,5,7 and closed to many international school.

Experience a Vietnamese homestay with my family.
We live in a typical Vietnamese house, in a typical family neighborhood, on a typical pedestrian street.

Our newly built house has five floors. We rent two private rooms. Each room offers a comfortable queen size bed, a private bathroom, air-conditionning, fan, tv, wifi, large window and glass door to let in natural light (with good curtains if you wish to be in the dark!), and a small balcony overlooking streetlife. Each room can accomodate 2 persons.

You are welcome to use our kitchen or whatever facility our house offers. Many of our previous guests really enjoyed the 360 view offered from our roof top terrace at sunrise, sundown, or to see the city lights in the evening.

We live in district 8, just on the other side of the bridge that brings you in district 1 where most tourists attractions are and in district 5, Cholon, the famous Chinese neighborhood, and district 4 along the river going to Saigon river opposite district 1. From another the bridge reach Phu My Hung distric 7 such as new city with restaurant and shopping small exhibition event. we are living on the island.

During the day, you can take bus 152 and in less than 10 minutes, it will drop you at the Ben Thanh market or directly at the Ben Thanh bus station, near the Reunification Palace or the War museum,... from there you can walk any where in district 1. If you keep going on that same bus, you can even reach the airport in about 50 minutes just cost 5000 vnd ( 25 cents )

It is also possible to walk over the bridge for about 1,5 km and catch bus number 1 at any time. It can bring you downtown quickly to Le Loi street near the Opera, the famous hotels, major shopping streets or going the other way, to the famous market in Cholon and the Cholon bus station. Bus number 1 from 6am to 8 :30 pm Saigon Cho Lon ( downtown to China town )

District 8 is a living district. Tourists are a rare sight. On the way to my house you will be on typical commercial street with lots of traffic, restaurants, streetfood ... You will then turn on a typical small alley that will lead you to my house. That type of pedestrian alleys form mazes between major streets in HCMC. Most people live in those mazes of alleys and you will be living on one!

Much quieter then the major streets, no cars can enter! The sound of traffic from major streets becomes distant and you can now hear the sound of people living, talking, playing. Of course, the occasionnal moto has to make its way to the major street.

You will see people walking, kids playing in front of their house, families watching tv in their living room, families with little stalls in front of their house, or a little store in their living room...

A few meters from my house, you can have nice Vietnamese coffee. Within a few minutes, you will find a nice local typical market with food stalls, clothings, food market, grocery shopping...

We want your homestay at our house to be Home Away from Home for all travellers: solo, couples and families.

If this is the type of travelling you might enjoy, do not hesitate to write to me. Each room is 17$/night for 1 person and 22$ for 2.

Linh was more than amazing! Her home is set up to meet other backpackers which is great for a solo traveller. She is very informed and can help you with all tours and any information you have! Her house is a bit hard to find so make sure to follow her directions or ask neighbors everyone is super friendly:) Thank you linh for the most amazing time and welcoming me into your home I truly felt like family!

Stayed over at Linh's place for two nights, have to say that it was a good experience. Linh is an awesome host with a wide network if you would like to have something done. Her place might be a little tricky to find but no problem as the neighbours are helpful and I actually took the bus from Ben Thanh market to the main street Doung Ba Trac. Linh's other family members were very hospitable, bonded with her dad over a few beers and her sister cooked some heavenly food for us. All in all, it was a great experince! And I highly recommend you to this place - totally worth it even just for the comfy mattress.

I already reviewed, so this is automatic, but all in all, a fantastic way to see real Ho Chi Minh city. Pham has a wonderful place, great family, in an ideal location. Next time I'm in Ho Chi Minh, I'm calling her up!

My experience was very positive overall. Though she was actually out when I arrived (earlier than expected), her family welcomed me I'm with gestures and fruit. Her family, the house location, and accommodation are all nice and I would recommend, with the tip to clarify which room you are getting. I believe there are 3 on Airbnb and I was a little surprised as it was different than expected, but if I'd browsed the pictures better, I would have known to ask. All-in-all though, I have had a fabulous time and would recommend her for anyone traveling to HCMC. Much preferable to the usual hostel / backpacker area traffic and tourist traps, but more authentic than a hotel. All the spots to eat around her area are top notch too! If you ask, she can help you arrange a way to see what you'd like to see!

Very good host, friendly and accommodating. If you want to see what the non tourist Vietnam/HCMC is like then book here! We had lunch and proper ice coffee with one of DiLinh Phams neighbours. There's a direct bus from the airport to the accommodation and it's really cheap for a ticket. The home is in a great location, the room we had was big enough and had a balcony and good shower room. There are many rooms here, great family home and the roof top terrace is great. If you're not a heavy sleeper the roosters may wake you up 0530 from neighbouring houses. All in all a fantastic stay!

I can only say, PHAM IS AWESOME. On the first day I arrived, she (Pham) already started showing me places around her house, which is a very local, Vietnamese neighbourhood. And the first thing we did was facial. And guess what, it was a 1 hour facial and it cost me only 1 USD. And the next day, she took me to a traditional coffee shop, and before this, I wasn't a coffee fan, but now, I need it everyday! It is that nice, u see. And one say, it was her grandparents anniversary (or birthday), her family actually invited me to join them. And trust me, I got to eat so many nice food and drank a lot too! LOL Although her place is about 15 min bus ride from downtown, bi don't mind. that's what I am looking forward to in a trip. And the bus stop is nearby her house. And with the same bus 152, u can go to Ben Thanm Market and from there you can walk the whole district 1. And if u need to go to the airport, you can do so with the same bus. I really really highly recommended this place if you are into experiencing local culture and wanted a good exposure to Vietnamese culture.

Sad that i didn't get to actually meet Linh in person but her family mainly her mother and father made me felt very welcome. We couldn't communicate in english at all but they truly looked after me well :) seriously why waste money in a hotel when you can experience true local lifestyle in Saigon! highly recommend anyone to stay here!
