This is an excellent value. Compare to nearby hotels-Loews, The Roosevelt, the W, Mondrian, Quality Inn--which have no kitchen or dining area--you get one bedroom room, living room, dining area and modern kitchen and bathroom.

Walk to Jimmy Kimmel Live at his studio on Hollywood Bd. (You need tickets to these shows but they are free) Or walk over to The Laugh Factory for a show..or drive to the Improv.
On second floor (steps) of 8 unit apartment building in the city of West Hollywood. Landscaped backyard/garden with redwood table and chairs, BBQ and seating for 8, lemon, tangerine and avocado trees and flowers and bamboo fencing.
Very central and hip location (like West Village NYC) where you can walk to everything. Public transportation nearby...can get bus from Santa Monica Blvd, or Sunset, and metro at Hollywood/Highland and taxi from anywhere.
Walk of Stars on Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood/Highland shopping center (where metro is located and Lucky Strike bowling alley among many shops and restaurants like Pizza Kitchen, Hard Rock Cafe, etc), gyms, restaurants, comedy clubs, Director's Guild (where film festivals are often held), the Grove, Hollywood/Highland. Two parks within walking distance--Plummer Park and Poinsettia Recreation with lighted tennis courts.
We recommend a car for Los Angeles as it is a very large city. But you can manage fine without one. Uber or Lyft comes in a couple of minutes because of our great location. Plus there is bus and metro.
Restaurants to walk to: El Compadre., Cheebo, Sunset That, Bossa Nova and In and Out Burger on Sunset. Everyone delivers in this area too.
Los Angeles has a very vibrant dining scene and this area also has a lot of small theaters (for plays) in addition to large theaters like the Pantages (farther east).
If you don't mind a short drive, then go to Koreatown and try at $26 a person all you can eat Korean BBQ: Oo-Kook Korean BBQ Restaurant with unlimited prime, Kobe and Waygu beef--15-20 min drive. Or I'm told that Boiling Crab is very good in Koreatown but quite a wait.
Have Sushi, cheap or expensive within walking distance--Rock N Roll Sushi at 8000 Sunset Blvd. is walking distance. One of my favorite sushi places is Hirozen or more traditional sushi and close Sugarfish on La Brea.
Everyone delivers here too. Look at GrubHub online.
Or walk nearby and try boxing or pilates, a Thai massage for $40.00 or a foot spa and massage at Sunset Foot Spa at La Brea and Sunset ($25-40.). Go to Arclight and catch a hot film and see a famous director or actor doing the same. It's the best movie theater in LA.
No driving up dark and winding roads to a home 30 minutes up in the hills. (Unless that is ur thing of course). Everything you want to see is within 5-15 minutes away...Melrose, The Grove, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Center, Universal City, downtown (by metro direct). Downtown is 20 minutes on the metro...Staples Center (sports stadium) is downtown and accessible from the metro.
100% cotton sheets and bedding, black out shades in bedroom, brand new comfortable beds, modern furniture. Good closet space with lots of hangers. Full length mirror. Iron and ironing board in closet. The beds are super comfy so u will sleep well after ur days of sightseeing and fun.
I include in my places everything I would want (and then some!) when visiting another city and choosing the alternative of airbnb....which is what I did when I visited Milan this past summer.
Hotels that are good reference points nearby: Loews (just north of us) , the Roosevelt (north and a little bit east), the Mondrian (west), the Standard (west), the W (east.)

Guests do NOT share this place with others. Parking is tandem (back to back) and is shared with the unit directly below you. The backyard deck is shared with building occupants.
Interaction with guests
I will NOT be PRESENT. And if your schedule allows, I might meet you. But it is not required. NO MEET-UPS to exchange keys. No waiting around. You arrive and leave at your convenience, subject to check in and check out times. There is an onsite manager.
Other things to note
THE BUILDING IS A SMALL BUILDING IN A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD. Children and infants are counted as guests so please list them when booking.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF WHEN IN THE UNIT.
Dishes must be washed prior to leaving as I am charged extra by the cleaning people for dirty dishes and/or very messy apartment. But there is an automatic dishwasher.
Please keep the place clean and if you smoke, do so on the balcony only, absolutely keep the door closed so that no smoke goes into the apartment and the balcony stays clean.
Take your shoes off when in the apartment so the apartment below doesn't hear noise.
Treat this place as if it were your own. Turn lights and air or heat off when you leave during the day.
Children count as guests.
No persons not listed on rental may stay in unit. There is a $45 charge that will be deducted from deposit for very dirty apartment and or dirty dishes as cleaners will charge me extra. So far, I have not had to do this with any guest.
Either hand wash or use automatic dishwasher with automatic dishwashing soap pods before you leave. And please tidy up.
Also, be aware that there are people below you so try not make a lot of noise walking around the apartment late at night.
No loud music, loud talking or yelling or loud TV. Especially out on the balcony (because everyone can hear). Again, it is very important that neighbors are not disturbed. And that people in the neighboring areas don't see anyone as a nuisance or creating a disturbance or too much noise.
There are gyms nearby with daily rates...ask me if interested in more detail.
Ralph's Market is close at Sunset and Fuller, just east of us by a few blocks on Sunset. Open 24/7 There is a discount card that will save you around 5 or 10%. It's free so ask for it.
As to the tandem parking, if you are blocked by the unit below you #3 or they block you, it will be easy to call and have them move car. They are receiving the same instructions. There is also street parking. But read the signs! In W. Hollywood and surrounds they tow and ticket if you don't follow what the signs say. And you must allow room for two cars. Large SUVs will not fit the space. Normal passenger vans and regular SUVs will fit. But park all the way down if you are there first to allow room for the other car. Be courteous.
Ask about housebroken hypoallergenic pets if interested in monthly stays.
My experience is that when people are respectful of these rules and others, there are few if any problems. But they have occurred when some people forget that other people are living here. Some people don't park within the white lines which limits the ability of someone else to park.
Space is at a premium and very limited in this area
as we are in a prime location of Los Angeles. But parking can be found on the street and some of the tenants have no parking and they manage OK. BUT I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT THESE AREAS ARE SERIOUS ABOUT TICKETS AND TOWING. AND IT IS NOT UNCOMMON TO BE OFF 5 MINUTES FROM REGULATED TIMES AND BE TICKETED OR TOWED. SO WATCH WHERE YOU PARK AS YOU VISIT THE CITY. THIS SAME ADVICE APPLIES TO FREE PARKING. AT HOLLYWOOD /HIGHLAND and THE GROVE, PARKING MAY BE FREE
OR VERY INEXPENSIVE FOR AN INITIAL SHORT TIME. AFTERWARDS, IF YOU ARE LATE, IT CAN BE MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. AND THEY RARELY HAVE GRACE PERIODS. THIS IS TRUE OF MOST OF THE LOS ANGELES AREAS ESPECIALLY ON THE "WEST SIDE."
