The Neighborhood

One thing is certain, you can't go to Paris and skip the Marais. It's very similar in feel to the West Village in Manhattan, with a different architecture of course, but the small crooked medieval lanes are alive with bars, restaurants, hotels, high and low fashion boutiques, trendy shops, hip designers, old fashioned bread shops, jewelry, wine shops, fashionable art galleries and museums all crammed into one small area.

  • The place was a great location! Very central and easy to get to some important sights like Notre Dame, some good restaurants, and two metro stops. Sue is super friendly and waited half an hour for us when we were late (couldn't figure out metro tickets). We fit ok as 4 people, but it's tough since it's a small apartment. For groups of 4 I wouldn't stay more than a few days unless you're not too concerned about a little personal space. It helped that the shower and toilet were separate bathrooms. Other than space we had no problems with the place, and space was hardly an issue since we spent most of the day outside.

  • Apartment is in a great location, lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Even though just a 10 min walk from Notre Dame, the neighborhood is not flooded by tourists, which is really nice. We didn't cook in the apartment but the kitchenette seems well equipped. Wireless works really well and there were a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, great for last-minute styling when going out. The apartment is located on the 5th floor and there is no elevator, no problem for us but something to be aware of when booking.

  • It's in a perfect location - close to metro, major attractions and nice shops. The apartment is in a charming, historic building, so it was a pleasantly unique experience for me to stay in such an old building. The apartment is quite small and it would be ideal for 2-3 people (but I guess it's just what it is in Paris). It has a little kitchen which was nice. I was happy with the internet speed. I just hope that soap or shampoo was provided in the bathroom.

  • We were a group of four, two couples traveling to Paris. The experience of staying in this apartment was a great one! The location can't be beat, it is located in a great neighborhood, and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go! This included the Eiffel Tower, although that is a 4 mile trek, not intended for those who may not enjoy walks. It is very closely located to the Louvre and Notre Dame. Working with Adam, and his friend who welcomed us, was a breeze. They were both friendly and accommodating, and communication was easy. I would say that for a group this large, you should be very well acquainted... The flat is very small and there are no separate bedrooms. The shower and toilet room are also TINY! It was no big deal for us, but is worth noting, as is the five flight of very steep stairs. Overall, we had a great experience, and I would happily stay here again if I ever get the chance to go back to Paris!

  • Adam is an extremely attentive host - he responded promptly to all of our inquiries, and checked in with us electronically on the second day of our stay. Everything in this apartment is as advertised--Especially the MAGNIFICENT location!

  • Sue thank you very much for everything!! You were so flexible and patient about or schedule. The apartment was big enough for the four of us, the bed and coach were really confortable and the location was perfect. We had close and directly train to the airport, Disney and Versalles and by walk all the city center.
    Thank you very much :)

  • Good for 20 year old people on a tight budget. Rather spend some more money and find something more upmarket.
Lots of potential if money was spend on interior.
Excellent location. Loved the exercise on the stairs.
