About this listing

The space

This House is very large and it is divided into two parts making it a duplex. The south side of the house has two bedrooms, a bathroom, living room with a LED Flat Screen TV, high speed internet, a beautifully remodeled kitchen with high end appliances and plenty of cooking tools, and a utility room with a washer and dryer. This is perfect for someone on a job assignment for a few months, relocating, in transition, retired, or just taking a break. I live in San Francisco but I have someone staying close by who can greet you.

The kitchen has high end appliances Bosch: dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave. Black granite counter tops and white shelves with beautiful and easy sliding drawers. The refrigerator is stainless steel and made by Fisher Paykal.

The two bedrooms have nice artwork, a comfortable feel to them, a memory foam bed in the main bedroom, lovely rugs, and good lighting.

The bathroom has nice tile and bathroom hardware. It is cheerful and bright.

The house is close to the wine train, bus station, Napa County fairgrounds, a myriad of restaurants, Oxbow, The Napa Riverfront, Wine tasting rooms, Cafes, and the new 12 plex movie theater. This is downtown Napa.

What makes this place unique is that you can do so much from this location and retreat to a nice quiet home in the evenings and weekends. During the day there are many activities close by. Napa is growing and this home is in an ideal location for fun.

Barbara is a great and attentive host and easily reachable. Her caregiver was always available as well. I was in Napa for work and unfortunately didn't get the chance to play as much as I wanted, but all in all it was a memorable experience.

Great communication, fast response time and when there was an issue with the thermostat it was taken care of quickly and to my satisfaction. Place was clean upon arrival. Everything you need in the kitchen is included. Its about 2-3 blocks from Main street and Oxbow market, so you can easily walk everywhere. Place includes Directv, with DVR and HBO which was a nice bonus not included in the description. Only downside is its close to the bus station so some weird people walking around, but was quiet after 8pm. It close to the Napa Valley Wine train, but it only goes by a couple times each day (not at night).

Barbara was very responsive and helpful answering all our questions quickly and positively. We stayed for 2 months, July and August 2015. The property is a duplex, but although the adjoining property was also occupied for the entire 2 months we heard no sounds through the shared wall at all. Location is fantastic, easy walking across 1st or 3rd St bridges to the Main Street restaurants and bars; a short walk to the Oxbow, and a very short walk to a local Mexican Taqueria, Maria's. We enjoyed the July 4th fireworks that were at the Expo Center a block away from the front porch, and the Summer concerts also at the Expo, we could glimpse the stage and enjoy the sounds from the porch. The property was very well equipped, clean and in working order. We felt very welcome; local caretaker Francisco was readily available for any questions or help. The property has lots of period details, high ceilings, crown molding etc, but the kitchen is super modern, roomy bathroom, and large closets in both bedrooms. WiFi was great. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I have traveled to many places in the world and I am content to live in the SF Bay Area where the air is clean, nature abounds, the city has so many nice parks and beaches to frequent. You can shop until you drop and eat at the myriad of different ethnic restaurants in the city. Napa is just as fun with all the new restaurants, hotels, and trails available.

I live life to the fullest and plan on having a ranch one day with horses, dogs, and a bed and breakfast with my sister. Hopefully this will happen soon in Sonoma or Napa.

I am passionate about my LED lighting business and take time out every day for a mini vacation by being outdoors with my dogs and breathing in the ocean air.

The house in Napa was built in 1905, so I like to fix it up and decorate it constantly. I am delighted to have you enjoy the home. I feel more like the caretaker of the home rather than the owner. When I receive a compliment about what I have done to the house, it is music to my ears.
