GREAT LOCATION. This 1870's Creole Cottage is in the Marigny Triangle 3 blocks from the French Quarter and 2 blocks from Frenchmen Street, the place to go for music. It's convenient to everything, and in a safe neighborhood.
The available bedroom gets tons of light from the large windows that lookout to the backyard. The room is large and has a walk-in closet. Private entrance. TEMPURPEDIC QUEEN SIZE BED :)! Shared bathroom. There is a large kitchen with an island, a big central radiator to keep you very warm (yes it gets cold down here!), A/C, a washer and dryer, dishwasher, wi-fi, and a large backyard oasis.
During the recent renovation some of the original heart pine floors and barge board, were reclaimed and used for cabinets, trim and architectural elements. As you can see in the pictures the kitchen has reclaimed heart pine cabinets and every dish, and appliance you would need! There is no lack of space here!
All of this in the most ideal location, the Marigny Triangle a funky historic neighborhood just east of the French Quarter, and south (riverside) of St. Claude. The map on here is not really clear, it is on the riverside of St. Claude (the street that divides the Marigny Triangle). It is walking distance to the best restaurants, music, art and so much of eccentric creativity that is New Orleans. It is on the bus line.
I'm looking for someone who wants to enjoy New Orleans, stay in a real funky neighborhood, and not get too crazy in the house. Two people is a possibility, just message me. Also there are other rooms that are potentially available, again message me and I let you know if the others are open. I love sharing the neighborhood with others!
Sara's place was very clean and comfortable. Sara gave some great tips for exploring the city, and the location couldn't have been more perfect. I felt safe walking to and from Frenchmen St at night as it's only a short walk. Both Sara and her flat mate are lovely. Highly recommended.
Sara and her doggie Ella were the perfect host. We enjoyed her beautiful home. Very close to bourbon street, and eateries! Bed comfortable! plenty space in upstairs area! While there in town be sure to make an appt with her to get a massage. I missed out! But next time me and my husband come to town I will be sure to get a couples massage.
