We began renting our Vacation Home in mid-May 2013. This is a cozy & thoughtfully appointed 2 bedroom one and one half bath home near many, many award winning wineries in Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino Counties. Our home is called "La Villa Hermosa" and is a beautifully maintained stucco home built in 1941 with hardwood floors (tile in kitchen and bathrooms). Neighborhood is in a well established, safe area of Santa Rosa, CA. Complete privacy with a large fully fenced backyard with a huge deck and BBQ! Photos do not completely showcase the marvelous size of the deck (440 square feet). Our home also features air conditioning and forced air heat so that your comfort is assured no matter what time of the year you chose to stay.Only 50 minutes from the wonderful city of San Francisco which offers hundreds of fine restaurants and many live entertainment venues, theater, cabarets, movies etc.Santa Rosa home is very close to supermarkets, gorgeous parks, tennis,cycling, golf, swimming, 4 major entertainment venues, Historic Railroad Square and much more. Only 30 minutes from the stunning Pacific Ocean! La Villa Hermosa is within walking distance of Pacific Market, Safeway. CVS drugstore/pharmacy, Wells Fargo Bank and 3 casual cafes. We are within a short driving distance to Montgomery Village Shopping Center, Santa Rosa Plaza Mall and Coddingtown Mall. We know our area quite well (including not only Sonoma County, but Napa County) so that we can happily recommend all kinds of wineries and eateries and places to visit. Santa Rosa itself offers many fine restaurants, and is blessed with an ideal climate year-round. Winters are mild and fall, summer, and spring are spectacular. The desirable climate makes this Vacation Rental the ideal spot to vacation any time of the year!
Our home features a fully equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator and freezer, clothes washer and dryer, 2 queen size pillow top beds with 620 thread count quality bed linens & one and one half baths with plush spa quality towels; the main bath HAS A SEPARATE TUB AND SHOWER. PLEASE NOTE THAT UNDER "AMENITIES" THERE IS A CHECK MARK IN THE BOX NEXT TO "BREAKFAST." THIS IS FOR A CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WHICH INCLUDES: Dark French Roast STARBUCKS coffee (for complete stay), English muffins, jam, marmalade, half and half and a basket of fresh fruit provided for the first 1-2 days free of charge! Also available is Wi-Fi for your convenience! Just enter the access code to use your laptop or tablet! Wait till you see the gorgeous, large Meyer lemon tree that repeats its blooming cycle even when there are still some late season lemons on the tree!! Don't miss staying in this finely appointed home! You can use our home as a base for traveling all around Northern California to explore the multitude of things to see and do in the marvelous part of our area.. *Access to use of gas grill (outdoor BBQ) providing that renters use extreme care to prevent fires and also that they clean the grill after each use as per directions specified by the owners. Grill will be checked by owners during the "walk-through" when guests are checked out.
Interaction with Guests
We are available to our guests for any needs/wants they may have, but we respect their privacy and will not be in contact with them unless they request it. We meet our guests at La Villa Hermosa upon their arrival, show them around the home, require that they read and sign the rental contract. We also tell them what procedures to follow in case of an emergency. They are given our contact phone numbers in case they need anything.
The neighborhood is in a quiet, desirable and well established residential area of Santa Rosa. Easy access to a Safeway Supermarket and CVS pharmacy and small shopping center. Casual cafe and eateries within walking distance and excellent restaurants within a very short driving distance. Santa Rosa Plaza Shopping Center 5 minutes driving distance away with ample parking and lots of interesting shops along 4th Street (The main street of Santa Rosa) also within walking distance. Perfect place to be within easy driving distance of many more markets and shops and other shopping malls/shopping areas. Proximity to Sonoma Valley Wineries and easy driving distance to other wine appellations and the spectacular Sonoma Coast (25 minutes from Bodega Bay!)!
There is bus transportation in Santa Rosa area and a bus schedule with stops is available in home. Uber is a service that is offered in our area; it is similar to taxi service but is less expensive.
Other Things to Note
The home is graciously appointed with a fully equipped kitchen, luxurious 620 thread count bed linens and wonderfully heavy weight bath towels!!!! The deck is private, large and boasts a mature Meyer lemon tree from which our guests are welcome to pick lemons. The tree continuously repeats its blooming cycle! There is also a peach tree. and a Bartlett pear tree in the back yard from which guests are welcome to pick the seasonal fruit!
We expect guests to keep noise levels down when using TV's stereos, radios and other devices that produce sound. Use of these devices is not allowed after 9:30 pm on the deck. Home must be left in the condition it was when guests checked in: no breakage or damages to interior and exterior of home and all of its contents Please do not wash any bed or bathroom linens before you depart; this will be done by hosts after you check out and return the keys. Kitchen must be left clean; please load dishwasher and run. No smoking allowed in the home or anywhere on the property. Coasters are provided and must be used on all surfaces in the home except in the kitchen. If our guests are traveling with an infant or baby we require that they provide their own portable crib (sometimes called a Pac-N-Play). We require this for obvious hygiene reasons. We have tried to rent a crib when a group needs one, but have found that there isn't a furniture rental company that rents cribs. All companies have to comply with health standards so crib rental is not allowed because infections can easily be passed on from one baby to another. Renters are
given a rental contract to read and sign when they check in. The house rules are clearly stated in this rental agreement and explains that any damages to the home, its contents and the entire property (this includes
any removal of items in home and property) must be paid for by the renters from the deposit fee. If damages/removal etc. are above the amount of the deposit, airbnb will help renters resolve how monetary compensations will be handled as per airbnb guidelines.
