Experience a sense of blessed peace in Switzerland
My wife and I have spent our honeymoon in an apartment of Ursula and Richard .
Their home is situated in a typical Swiss village just outside bilingual Biel-Bienne. A short bus ride acts like a magic carpet to take one from the house on farm lands in the village of Jens to downtown Biel-Bienne, where trains are giving access to all parts of the Country from the lowlands to the high resorts in the Alps that seem to defy the laws of gravity as they cling to their precpitous slopes.
One could commute easily from here to any major city, or just make it a marvelous pied-a-terre from which to walk through verdant trails of the nearby forests and to explore the ancient and the new that somehow exist in amicable good humor within the towns and villages that beckon to the earnest traveler.
The town of Biel-Bienne is proudly calling itself “Swiss town of the future”, housing the plants of Omega, Rolex and Swatch. The center of the acient town is more than 1000 years old and a sight to behold. What a treat to experience shopping or to have dinner in one of the many cosy or elegant restaurants of this mideaval part of town!
Our hosts have traveled the world and are multi-lingual. Their broad world-view is infused with charm, wit and sophistication, and it is this attribute that greets their lucky visitors with the warmth and acceptance that makes that visit memorable
Dear friends, we will be back! Love from Bill and Catherine Lashbrook-Pacino
Ursula's apartment is well located to visit Berne, Neuchatel and Bienne. However, if you are not familiar with the area, it can be somewhat laborious to find ( but perhaps I am directionally challenged). Our stay was brief ( two nights ) so we really did not have a chance to do anything other than sleep there. The apartment is spacious and well equipped and Ursula told us everything we needed to know to make our stay pleasant.
