Hemlock Hills is a beautiful all-seasons hideaway situated on 500 acres of private property in the heart of the southern Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania. A 2-acre, spring-fed lake on the property is perfect for swimming and catch-and-release fishing. The property also features three outdoor fire pits, a tennis court, two indoor fires, a horse shoe pit, a game room with ping pong table, and a large downstairs hall with a pool table. Blue Knob Ski Resort is a 20-minute drive.

The space
Hemlock Hills Farm is a spectacular chalet-like property surrounded by rolling hills, fields, and forest land. The lodge sleeps up to 16 people.

Bedroom 1 features two queen beds and is en suite with its own bathroom.

Bedroom 2 features two single beds.

Bedroom 3 features one double bed.

Bedroom 4 features two queen beds.

Bedroom 5 features two single beds.

There are also three single beds in a shared space downstairs and one double bed discretely tucked into the corner of the living room, which serves as a day bed during the day. We also have multiple couches—both on the upper and lower floors.

There are five bathrooms in the lodge —three full bathrooms on the upper floor (inclusive of showers) and two European-style bathrooms downstairs.

Arrivals are after 1 p.m. The lodge will be open; simply make yourself at home. Departures by 1 p.m. If you need flexibility on check-in or check-out, please inquire.

The owners of the property respect your privacy. If you need something, please let us know. Otherwise, we'll be scarce, allowing your group to enjoy the spectacular Hemlock Hills property in full.

Expect a very clean abode, with bed sheets, pillows, blankets, and a basic provisioning of bathroom tissue. Bath towels are not provided (as we are hosting groups of up to 16), and there is no washing machine. Please feel free to bring the bedding you're comfortable in.

A full kitchen provides essentials for cooking and there are charcoal grills available for use.

You will also receive a wheelbarrow worth of wood per day for fires. There are three fire pits outside and two fires inside (living room and kitchen).

HOUSE RULES

PET POLICY: Up to two dogs are welcome to join you during your stay for a $60 per pet charge. Please do not wash your dog in the bathtub or allow them on the furniture, including the beds. If you're bringing a dog, you must bring the dog's bedding with you. You will be responsible for cleaning up after the animal, and any extra cleaning or damages. Animals must be under control at all times.

LAKE POLICY: The 2-acre, fresh water lake is an average of 15ft deep. The swimming is fabulous but please note that any water activities (swimming, diving, boating, fishing, dock activity, etc) is at your own risk. We assume no liability. There are life jackets on hand, but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Any children and non-swimmers must wear life jackets around the water.

We do not allow ATVs, snowmobiles, or other recreational vehicles on the property. Hemlock Hills Farm is better suited for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, etc.

COLONIAL CABIN FOR OVERFLOW (for rent): Take a step back in time; there is a colonial cabin on the property that is available for rent, only to renters of the main lodge. It sleeps a maximum of seven people. We must adhere to the fire code for the main lodge.

NO EVENTS: Your booking covers lodging for up to 16 people. It does not cover an event such as day-of reunions, weddings, parties, etc. If interested in hosting an event at Hemlock Hills Farm, please reach out to us off of the Air BnB platform for more info.

MINIMUM AGE TO BOOK: We appreciate that some groups of young adults are mature, but we do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. Parties or events not allowed.
