The Space

There is a tram stop at the back of the house. The place is very central via tram connection getting you to Wimbledon, East Croydon, West Croydon, Mitcham junction which will lead you to Central London in 30- 40 minutes. There is a lot to see around and you will have a great time. There is a parking space in front of the house. You will have internet access, flat screen TV in your room. There is a kitchennet with a microwave, fridge freezer and a washing machine for your own use. You also have a private shower and toilet. Clean bed linen and fresh towels are provided.

It is a double bed and there is an extra 0f £5 charge for the next person.

Local amenities include a wide range of restaurants, shopping centers and a gym.You can go for walks in the park nearby. The gym, bowlings and the cinema complex are all at a walking distance from home.
I have lived in this area for many years and will provide you with information and guidance during your stay in London.
I am a great host, quiet, easy going and I am looking forward to meeting you.

  • I never met Catia.I met her husband and he was nice and polite.
Unfortunately, the place was not what I expected.
The place is a converted shed, there are a lot of cracks on the walls and the corners where the walls connect to the (website hidden) a corner you could even see sky and there was a (website hidden) partner is about 1.78m tall and he had trouble standing upright in the room.
The bathroom was very tinny. We are both slim (60kg and 80kg) but It was hard using the bathroom, especially the toilet, as everything was so, so close to each other. The shower was very small and the water collects on the floor up to your ankle.
The shampoo that should have been provided turned out to be heavily water diluted bits shampoo.
The provided hot plate did not make proper contact with the electrical network and it gave off sparks when it was initially plugged in.
The laundry machine that was there probably has rust inside, as I washed only whites and most of them came out pale yellow.
The internet network we had access to was terribly slow.
The sink took a lot of time to drain after you finished washing and it was set about 80cm from the floor so a person had to bend uncomfortably to wash.
The built-in wardrobe was extremely dusty and we couldn't even open it,as the bedside table is in the way of the door.
The table for eating is actually just a tiny piece of bar plot where you could hardly get 2 plates next too each other,no glasses or cutlery.
The crockery was left wet and it smelled strongly like mildew and mold in the whole place.
There are a lot of windows in the place, but none of them could be (website hidden) the only ventilation available was by opening the front door. Also only 1 window had curtains and they were lace ones, which made it really uncomfortable once the lights were on.
The table&chairs in the garden were dirty and there was a heap of unwanted items on the bench next to the table.
The private gate we were assigned exited on a dirty, muddy lane.
In general though the neighborhood was ok.

    Response from Catia:

I am sorry to say that Rally has gone too far to say such thing on my place. I did not meet Rally but my husband reported that the minute she stepped into my house she started to complain. All that was said was nothing but lies. There is many photos on the site that clearly shows the room as it is. You can decide if the place is convenient for you or not. You can also check other reviews that says the place is exactly as described. The hotplate is in perfect order. You cannot see the sky from the roof. The window has an opening on the top section, you can verify the photo on the site. You can also clearly visualised the breakfast table as it is in the photo on the site.
There is plenty of cutlery, plates and glasses. The crockery is clean , no mildew it was used the day before by a guest. As well as the wardrobe. The washing machine was also used by the guest two days before and was not rusted as stated. It was never stated in my listing that I do provide shampoo for my guests and I do not provide shampoo for my guests. My message here is that I do not mislead anyone or write false and deceptive descriptions on my listing.

  • We stayed at the garden studio for 6 weeks and in general, it was ok. We liked the separate access to the studio and the connection to the tramlink was perfect. But we wouldn't recommend it for 2 people, because it is too tiny for that purpose.

  • Catia is a wonderful host! I spent a little over a month here with my dog and we loved it. The studio is completely separate and is like having your own place while you stay. Thanks Catia

  • I stayed in the apartment for 3 month. The apartment was clean, comfortable and good equipped. It was pleasant that Catia provided all groceries for breakfast and did the laundry. The connection to central London is really good. It took only 40-55 minutes to reach stations like victoria, waterloo or london bridge via East Croydon or Mitcham Junction. What made my stay at Catia's unique and unforgettable for me was meeting a warm reception from Catia as well as her husband and nice. I felt really welcome in their home and had nice conversations with Catia and her family. I am grateful for my stay at Catia's and would highly recommend Catia as a host as well as the apartment.
