Where do I start?! Patty and the Farmhouse Sun Studio will remain one of the best memories of our cross-country road trip. We had the house to ourselves (besides the life-size Elvis cutout in the dining room!) and there were no other Airbnbers during our stay, so it was lovely and private. Great room, great beds, awesome air conditioning! The bathroom was large and clean. Easy parking. The place is about 8 miles from downtown/Beale Street, but it was an easy Uber ride to/from. The Keurig for morning coffee was a nice touch - but spending the morning with Patty in rocking chairs on the porch was the highlight! We really hit it off and enjoyed her stories and hospitality so much. I know everyone won't have this experience with her (and if you just want privacy I am sure you will have that), but I still had to share because it was really that special! We love you, Patty!
Patty was as great of a host as you could simply wish for. Such a beautiful farmhouse, cozy terrace, all facilities clean and spacy. Patty is such a helpful and gracious person. Would recommend this one to everybody out there who wants to experience the unique southern hospitality. You'll love it! I promise.
When we arrived a bit later than we said we wood it took some time for Patty to hear us knocking at the door. The house is really quite big and you just need to knock a couple of times until she hears you. Which wasn't a problem since the front porch has some comfortable chairs to sit on.
The room itself was great for 3 or even 4 people and we loved staying in it. The only thing we didn't like was an air conditioner that went on and off every hour or so during the night and was relatively loud. However if you are used to the sound it might not bother you very much.
All in all we had a great stay at the Farmhouse and Patty is super friendly.
Awesome experience. Our room was lovely and Patty was great. Didn't get a change to hang out with other airbnbers but loved it nonetheless. The drive to downtown is about 20 minutes.
Patty greeted us at the door even though we arrived later than expected - introduced us to other guests and gave us several suggestions for Memphis barbeque.
Spacious room and big shower - charming home with beautiful antiques and charming accent pieces. Keurig coffee was also a big plus - thanks Patty!
We managed to catch patty when we arrived just as she was leaving, which was great as we wouldn't of otherwise had the chance to meet her. Patty's house was beautiful, homely and full of character and actually was one of the highlights of our trip! To stay in a typical American home was a good experience! After reading a previous review we went to Bryants for breakfast which is a short 3min drive up the road and made an excellent cheap breakfast! Overall we really enjoyed staying at patty's house and had a delightful stay. We would thoroughly recommend!
Patty was so welcoming! We ended up being out pretty late and leaving really early to get on the road and patty was so easy going. She has great suggestions and her rooms were very quaint and comfortable. We loved it!!

About the Host, Patty
I am a welcoming host, but keep in mind....
Be sure this casual environment is your cup of tea. I get plenty of wonderful, laid-back guests who love my home. If you are not laid-back, please look for something more expensive that suits you better...
I am a very liberal, open minded person, but conservatives, namely Republicans, may be put off by the environment in my home. It is my home, so be sure it works for you.. There are lots of options in Memphis to consider.
Also, the Farmhouse does not discriminate against any one except religious fanatics who judge others based on their lifestyle. This is an open and affirming home.
Guests are allowed to have coffee and to use the frig, the microwave and the toaster in the downstairs kitchen, but no cooking on the stove, or in the second floor kitchen. I decided it was too risky when folks aren't familiar with my appliances.. Sorry
